The room could have been cleaned a bit better, hairs in the bed and lots of hair in the bathroom sink which was actually clogging it up so I had to remove this myself. There was also quite a few marks and splashes on the glass next to the bed which had not been cleaned off. When we booked this it was not clear that this is actually inside the student halls so was a bit noisy

Lovely place to stay and had everything we needed to be comfortable. There was a fire alarm whilst there which resulted in being stood on the street for 45 minutes in -2 degrees. This was the only down side to the stay.

Elevator broken for the whole stay. Student residence. Extremely small. Very clean but claustrophobic due to windows and no view. Staff were helpful but facility is not great

So this is a strange property. The area is safe and walkable. A great area to easily walk or uber to the center of the city. The reason it is a little odd is because it is in a dorm. The dorm houses students on all floors and the 3rd floor has been remodeled into condo units. Our particular unit was also unusual because the unit opens into a hallway with 3 fire doors. A bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen. (all behind different fire doors) Honestly, if they had gotten rid of the hallway with the fire doors, it would have been amazing. The fire doors made for a very unusual and disjointed flat. Removing the hallway would also add room to make the shower a little larger. (I am by no means a large person, but shaving legs was pretty difficult). The bed was pushed up to the wall on one side, so that person entered the bed from the foot end. Not terrible, but there was room to make it more accessible if it had been laid out a little different. The second odd thing was that at 10:30 on Wednesdays, they have a mandatory fire alarm testing. No worries, had we known. (It wasn't mentioned and in this instance, the test didn't go off so we had to exit and wait across the street for it all to get checked out and the alarm to be turned off) They do provide breakfast and have a lovely spread in a nice breakfast room with great service. Also, we spoke with Diana in the reception. Big kudos to her! She was very easy to work with.

Excellent bed. It's a small unit but quite adequate. The kitchen could have used some more cutlery, utensils and a fry pan. The instructions for operating the oven and stovetop could be improved.

This property was perfect for our short stay in Edinburgh! The location was a short walk to the Royal Mile and right around the corner from multiple grocery stores, restaurants and pubs. Despite being close to a busy area the street was quiet. The room was larger than I had anticipated and was very clean! The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. If I had one complaint, the lift was broken when we arrived and we had to climb the stairs to the 3rd floor with our luggage, however this was fixed by the next day and didn't detract from our stay here. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Edinburgh!

Great stay at a great price. Perfect apartment location (although can be a bit noisy at 3am!) Couple of gripes such as shower door not shutting properly (but that was fixed super quick) and it seemed coldish in the apartment but again we didnt report that and we couldve. We did not like the fact that when checking in they claimed that Expedia had booked us into a small room and not the 2 story apt. displayed on the Expedia web site. Fortunately we had a copy of our reservation which included a photo of the room which enabled my wife to negotiate a transfer to the accommodation we had booked. Expedia needs to review its website to show the various prices and sizes of accommodation and inform purchasers that the hotel is attached to a student residence. We would recommend this property to family and friends for location, design of units and value for price.

It is a 10-15 min walk to the Royal Mile which gives you easy acess to tourist attractions/dining/shopping. It is in a student living building with a friendly front office.our room looked nothing like the pictures. The back of the buildong is a grocery store which made our side the supply side of the store. Big trucks were beeping when backing right under the windows from early mornings to late nights. If you are looking for a quite sleep, it is not your place. The toiletries included a single bottle shower gel/shampoo combined (no conditioner or body lotion) so plan accordingly. We stayed 3 nights. The phone (for contact with the reception) and the safe were dead: we signaled it to reception but neither was fixed for the duration of our stay. The facility does not have a parking. They give you a voucher for a discount in a nearby city psrking. It is not far but it is a steep climb up a hill so drop of your luggage first before driving your car to the parking gatage.

I liked that we where close to everything the bus stop was just outside The apartment was very clean and staff very helpful However we found the apartment to small for four of us it would of been perfect for two people though

We stayed in one of the apartments that enabled the option of self catering. The size and layout was spot on for a couple. Very clean, quiet and positioned ideally to be walking distance to key parts of the city. Would definitely return. Great shower as well, powerful and hot at all times.

The area around the property is definitely student focused and a little off the main corridors. There was construction which contributed to the noise. It was still a good location for getting to the Royal Mile and other attractions.

Clean and quirky. We (2 people) had loads of room in the compact studio. Discount card from reception for ncp carpark was great (£12 for 24 hours). Central enough to walk to royal mile in minutes, but round enough corners to not be noisy. Take a large towel if you normally use a bath sheet, as there was an abundance of nothing but hand towels in our room.

Friendly staff, room was great, clean and had everything we needed. The only problem we had really was where our room was situated, we did not sleep because of outside noise, traffic was loud, sometimes as if we had the window open, people singing and shouting etc, the fridge was very loud too all night, this did ruin our stay unfortunately.

Is good accommodation if you only want a place to spend the night. Is very close to the centre of the old city and have a lot of stores nearby. Furniture might need to be revised more frequently.
