Centrally located with a fabulous grotto-like poolPosted Nov 26, 2015
Pleasant, quiet, clean hotel; close to the center of town; nice view of Edinburgh from your hotel window. ghe best feature - in my humble opinion - is the grotto-like swimming pool and spa center. Sparkling clean and restorative after a long flight.

Don't recommend to stay here on businessPosted Nov 20, 2015
I stayed for 1 night on business. The location is good, rooms are a good size and have both - shower and bath, which was great. Unfortunately, the room did not have a phone signal nor could connect to WIFI. This was a very big disappointment as I was on business and had to work. Also, the Hotel staff didn't ask if I needed any help with my luggage. I asked for the invoice with a company address on it and during the check in the receptionist agreed to prepare for me before the check out. However, when I came the next morning, he advised that they cannot provide it as it was booked via 3rd party. I wish he should have mentioned it during the check in. I definitely would not stay here again on a business trip.

Central hotel close to train station and amenitiesPosted Nov 17, 2015
Nice weekend away although would pay for a better room as we stayed on 205 which had the smallest window that didn't open so dark and no ventilation Could smell chlorine on floor two due to pool being above

Wonderful room, very comfortable!Posted Nov 13, 2015
Pros: Everything listed above!
Cons: I can't think of a single thing.
Location: Edinburgh Castle, Royal Mile, Holyrood House, train station, wonderful pubs, National Gallery (awesome)... so much to do!!
We took an easy tram ride from the airport that dropped us right off. The hotel was centrally located near the train station which we took to St. Andrews after exploring Edinburgh for several days. All sight-seeing was within walking distance. Our room (and bathroom) was large, very quiet and so comfortable. The concierge was so nice and helpful and suggestions were spot on. The breakfast buffet was delicious and reasonably priced. We just loved this hotel and would absolutely stay there again!
