Small room

Posted Nov 3, 2016
Pros: Staff were friendly, reasonably clean, good breakfast and was convienient to bus stop to get into the city centre
Cons: Room was quite small, shower was broken so shower head had to be held by hand and tiles were missing so water leaked Behind the shower. The hotel was used by the local authority as temporary accommodation to house homeless families
Location: Close to the bus stop for travel to the city centre

Heriott Park Guesthouse (Edinburgh) - recommended!

Posted Aug 31, 2016 on Hotels
Arrived early afternoon from Glasgow but room was ready (great!). The only downpoint of the room was that it was on a busy street, window had to be open (warm period in August in a room without air conditioning). We are walkers, so were happy to be slightly outside the downtown core. Everything was walkable for us. Breakfast was one of the best we've had. Hot options, made specifically to your order. I want to mention that the young lady who seemed to be maitre D from Venezia in Italy, was excellent. She sought us out to make sure everything was to order and helped with directions, securing a taxi to the airport etc. Very appreciated. The only downpoint was that the waitress on Sunday August 28 seemed overwhelmed and it took 20+ minutes for her to approach us despite a few requests. Others who came in after were actually served first. She just seemed to get lost in the traffic and perhaps needs some guidance.

The staff were wonderful. They were very helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Clean rooms and they cleaned every day. Fluffy towels. We had a room with three singles for three people. Roomy, quiet and comfortable

Nice place... A bit far from the royal mile

Posted Aug 11, 2016
People were very nice and food was good. Shower and toilet leaked. And it was a little farther off the royal mile than I expected
