we had a blocked pipe outside which we had o get scaffolding outside for so that delayed us getting rid of the smell now gone.Sorry... we didn't know it was an outside pipe until we had someone climb 12 feet to look!

OUR beds are NOT rock hard, all soft to medium, all mattress have been tried in the local shop bought they were bought from. All the rooms were refurbished THIS year, you mucked US about re payment etc and we DID refund one room off the card when they paid for themselves but the other room did not.Once we refund totally up to your bank, shout at them not us.Also if no one else was willing to come forward to pay for the other room, do you honestly think we'd give it for free?We spoke to people in the morning, but it seemed none of your group were communicating with each other, we waited to refund the second room, but NO ONE came forward to then pay for their room!Re windows.. all close... all radiators work Room 9 is sufficient as it has a blind , privacy glass (you can look out the top but they can't look in, the bottom half has that plus 3 extra layers as well.Why you'd think some workman on the site across the road would take time to try and watch someone they couldn't see in a shower...Maybe, you should have picked a hotel more suited to your needs, but then again, we were picked as the cheapest in the area.Honestly , they threat of not staying here again, does not worry us in the slightest.And we really do not deserve a 2,

If the whole place including the coffee ( which doesn't need to be drunk you have the ability to make your own in your room) why did you stay 3 night?

thank you very much for your kind words.WE ask guests to leave keys when the city is what we call in Scotland *hooching* and it is for a sensible reason (honest) : reception staff get to know YOU the guest , so should someone come in waving a key for your room we'd know not you, and stop them. No key means we don't get to know you and we would never know who was who. Sadly the summer brings the holiday *chancers out*

Your room was re rfurbished in JULY, only thing we are waiting for is the new carpet, which was delayed .If you had said when you stayed we would have refunded you immediately and assisted you in finding accommodation elsewhere BUT you stayed more than one night, maybe because we are the cheapest in the neighborhood!BUT WE HAVE REFUNDED YOUR MONEY. WITHOUT PREJUDICE..

Sadly as your review is anonymously posted, we do not know which room and exactly you stayed, but as it is via Expedia we can narrow it down to 2 rooms : the toilets are bleached daily, and we'd never give a guest a dirty loo. Secondly , again if we knew the exact room etc we could have words with the staff on duty.# But we did speak to the probable staff that it could have been and they can't remember much interaction . The rooms that this could have been have all been refurbished & has our front hall etc. Also we do state what we have in the hotel , so we were unsure if you wished other facilities why you would pick us? Or tell us you were unhappy, esp as it was more than 1 night stay.

As you were very vocal about *things* when you are here it is very hard to compute the * we love the room* to the review you left. We do not use ripped linen We do not leave dirty cups etc in rooms unless housekeeping cannot get into a stay room.as the guest has put the do not disturb sign on door , which you did at least once during the 3 day stay. If all was so dreadful, we would have found you alternative accommodation either within the house or somewhere else.
