Central Hotel

Posted Jun 30, 2017
The hotel is central and clean. The only issue is that as soon as you step out of the hotel you reach a court yard where you find a bar with people drinking and it is very noisy. The room was at the back and was quiet nonetheless. Strange decor but clean.

Excellent location and the room was super comfortable and quiet since it was facing the back of the building. The courtyard with big tables should be very popular at night but we did not hear a thing!

Old town hotel

Posted May 24, 2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: Not a lot
Location: Round the corner from the National Museum of Scotland. C'mon it's in old town Edinburgh, if folks can't find anything to do they must be daft
Only one night stay, but everything excellent. Staff on booking in very friendly and helpful. Room quite different to previous experiences, quirky with 'The Dandy' wallpaper. Bed extremely comfy. Only wee niggle is that the telly didn't work, but what the hey, who needs it?

Good location. Very loud unfortunately.

Comfortable room with a good location. More like a hostel, however, with a huge loud bar outside. Great if you're partying with mates but not if you're looking for some rest.

Good hotel, marred by activities in the hotel.

Arrived on the day where the "Street Food Festival" was organized in the hotel's courtyard. Very loud music and activities non-stop until 3 am. Event organizer absolutely had no concerns or simply don't care for hotel guests.

Cool, hip hotel, in a terrific location

Posted Apr 2, 2017 on Hotels
Great hotel, right in the middle of the hippest district in Edinburgh. It is a great location for young adults, as there is a lot to do, and the hotel is decorated and appointed in a way that is cool and relevant. The hotel is walking distance from pretty much anything a tourist could want to do.

Truly central and super friendly and happy staff. Great rooms and lots of amenities - including cold beer in the fridge in the lobby as well as an espresso machine. The pub the hotel is connected to is really fun and the hotel room we had was quiet as can be. We really enjoyed our stay here.
