Stayed two nights. Room wasn't the biggest but fine for a couple of nights. 10 minutes on the bus to Princes Street ( bus stop at front door ). 5 -10 minutes walk to get evening meal. All in all, a well placed, clean and comfy place to stay in Edinburgh.

Reasonable priced hotel but a fair walk to city

Posted Nov 17, 2016
Pros: Claen tidy
Cons: Wi fi needs improving
Hotel was ok but the internet access was diabolical. If you are going here on buisness dont rely on the wi fi. Hotel owner said he had just paid for best internet possible but could get better from passing busses offering free wi fi.

Pros: Friendly staff, great cooked breakfast, free off-Broadway parking and clean, comfortable room.
Cons: No negatives for us at the Strathallan - great value for money.
Location: Within walking distance of Princes Street.

Nice and clean hotel with a very good breakfast.

The hotel is 25 min. walking distance from Edinburgh Waverley at the same street. Very clean but a bit small room, specially the bathroom. Free Wifi has a very good signal.

Pros: Everything
Cons: The weather lol
Location: Everything within easy walking distance or by local transport - bus stop yards from hotel
Had a terrific weekend break! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. Brilliant location with easy access to city centre bus stops just yards away from the premises.

Fantastic Little Hotel near the centre of the city

Posted Oct 7, 2016
Pros: Eamon and his team are all friendly and polite. The food was excellent. The rooms were warm, clean and kept in good condition.
Cons: No problems whatsoever; i love this place. It offers everything a small hotel should.
Location: The hotel lies on one of the roads into the main city centre. There are lots of vegetarian friendly takeaways and restaurants. Many interesting shops.

Nothing was too much trouble, the owner was very helpful. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. Would recommend to anyone travelling to Edinburgh. Only wish we had spent more time there.
