Great locationPosted Oct 3, 2015
Everyone was extremely helpful. Our room was huge and had the most beautiful view of Edinburgh Castle. We walked to the castle and the Royal Mile. I would definitely stay here the next time I'm in Edinburg.

Big disappointmentPosted Sep 21, 2015
It's first five start hotel I've visited in my entire life without working printer nor scanner. "Business Center" was occupied by some "private company". Hotel staff was not helpful at all, they refused to find a solution for me (I've asked for printer\scanner access in other location than occupied "Business Center"). Room service food was below average. Pros: - nice Dublin Castle view Cons: - business facilities - staff - loud street - room service good I don't recommend this hotel.

Beautiful HotelPosted Sep 21, 2015
My husband and I stay there our last night in Edinburgh. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. It was an excellent location and across the street from the hotel my parents honeymooned over 60 years ago. The staff was excellent and we will return.

Grand hotel in the centre of EdinburghPosted Sep 12, 2015
Pros: Large but friendly and relaxed where nothing seems too much trouble.
This is a grand and imposing hotel. But the staff are friendly and accommodating who know the area well, especially with restaurant recommendations. We ended up in great little family run Italian restaurant around the corner. The imposing court that serves afternoon tea is a relaxing place to be with attentive staff. Our room was large and well appointed.

Beautiful hotel, room, and location.Posted Sep 11, 2015
Beautiful hotel, room, and location. The staff even gave us an upgraded suite that was available. Our entire family was staying at the hotel and having a view of the Edinburgh castle was a plus!

Not the same ambience as we had stayed before.Posted Sep 10, 2015
Commodes are too high on the wall. Our feet would not touch the ground. Bath tub was really slick, no bath mat, etc. need some kind of stool or chair to sit on while getting dressed. Upon check in we were given no information. Had to ask about bedding change. There was a card in the drawer to fill out for sheet change. We found out on our last day stay. THE FOOD WAS WONDERFUL!!! Wait staff very attentive. Coincerge was ok when you could get them. Everything seemed so busy. I think more help is needed. Our room was very large with a view to the castle. Just understand that this is not like the Waldorf in New York.
