Helped us out in a tight situation

Accidentally booked the wrong date and expedia and the howard johnson helped me switch the date with no penalty charge. Excellent hospitality.

Very polite front Desk and Housekeeping staff

Pros: Location, Staff very Polite
We stayed here for three nights. The room was kept clean every day. The front desk staff were very empathic and really listened to our concerns. The manager was also very polite. We were on the second floor, and on the first and second nights my Dad and myself were experiencing itchiness in our skin. The next morning we had small red spots. We informed the front desk and the manager. They gave us a reassurance that it wasn't bed bugs. They handled it well I guess since on the third night the itch was gone. The location of this hotel is excellent. Right across the Jasper Place public transit terminal.

Ok room, dirty bathtub, strange guests...not great

Bath tub dirty, rest of the room fairly ok, elevator in terrible conditions, sketchy looking guests. Restaurant food was not bad.

A very bad experience.

Pros: It is the worst hotel that I ever see.
Cons: everything need improve. Especially the bed is dirty, can't even have a good sleep
It is close to terrible. smells bad. ............................................

The room and staff were nice. The smell in the elevator could have been better. One night we did have cigarette smell from the floor below. The location of the facility was a little scary but we did not go out after dark.

A good choice for the price

This is a good hotel for the price and the location. I have no complaints at all - except this one: the bed may have had bedbugs.

Nice welcoming staff; needs better room cleaning

Pros: Front desk staff.
My wife and I stayed for three nights, and would not mind staying again. Shella, who checked us in, was a warm, helpful person with a smile, and answered all our questions accurately. Our room was nice. The second day, the room was not cleaned well. But once we reported to front desk, the young man on reception was polite and quick to take action. We returned in the evening to a very nicely cleaned room. A basic coffe maker, iron and ironing board were useful. TV size could be improved.

Hotel near enough to attractions

Cons: sheets were a bit scratchy. Not good for friction :)
Location: its right by a 7/11 which is decent. Close enough to west edmonton mall
If you have a car, it won't often be an issue to get from point a to point b in Edmonton. Rush hour is rush hour of course.

Sketchy area

Hotel was decent, room was nice for the money. The area of town seems a little shady though.
