This hotel has seen better days. Our room was damp and cramped, the lighting was terrible (almost florescent) and the blanket had a cigarette burn. The building itself looks like it's falling apart and the layout is confusing.

We usually stay here because it close to mall and outlets. Only thing is bathroom wasn't that clean. Tiles were moldy. Spilt water on carpet, put a white towel on floor to soak up water, and it instantly turned yellow. We will keep our shoes on from now on

Cons: Need to be renovated. Disappointing to be a Sandman property.
we have requested for a non smoking room but the room that we got was for sure a non smoking room. the rooms are old and the carpet was dirty.

Pros: The pool it right in the center
Cons: Have more rooms that have two queen bed instead of double bed and besides the bed are too firm for people that have problem with joint bone...etc.
Location: It is at the right location for the northerner and it is close for shopping, casino, and of course the Denny's
My experience that is how much people from the north stayed at the sandman inn.

Hotel staff seemed to be distracted and would constantly take phone calls instead of helping the many waiting customers in line in the lobby. My room card kept getting declined by my room lock which is not extraordinary, however every time this occurred (3 times total during my 6 day stay) I was forced to wait on average 20 min in the lobby waiting for help as the only receptionist would be on the phone slowly discussing numbers. One time I was forced to wait 30 min locked out of my room waiting while a few other guests joined me waiting for her to get off the phone. The rooms seemed like it was deterioting, old window AC unit was loud when operating. Overall I thought the rooms were over-priced for the quality of the room and the quality of service at this sandman hotel.

Location: Centrally located. 5 minute drive to West Edmonton Mall
the hotel does not have elevators despite having 3 floors. the lay out is very confusing with multiple exits and no directions to where they were located. We had 2 rooms but one room was on the far end of the first floor and the other in the middle of the second floor. Constantly got lost trying to get to each others rooms. Ice machines did not work on 1st and 2nd floor. Room not serviced on 2nd day of a week long stay and had to call the desk to get clean dry towels. Room next to us put tray of dishes out in hall and they were not picked up for a day and a. half

The hotel is very run down and the common areas are dirty.... The hotel smells dirty and musty. The location is surrounded by fast food joints and is on the corner of two very busy and noisy streets. I will not stay at this hotel again.

Stay here every year. This time fire alarm at 5:50am. No staff around to direct guests. Ended up in parking lot during cold windy morning for half hour until fire department gave all clear. Hotel blamed Denny's, Denny's said someone pulled alarm in hotel. No apologies for inconvenience... Might go elsewhere next time.
