Nothing to Complain About..Except the Other Guests

Very nice, very clean room. Employee's were super friendly and check-in was quick. Pet friendly (with $20.00 fee). Indoor pool. Typical but above average continental breakfast. Location is a little bleak (at least in winter) with only a gas station within walking distance but downtown is a 5 minute drive away. Nice coffee machine inside the room + fridge and microwave.
Unfortunately, five minutes after we checked in, a bus full of teenage hockey players showed up. These kids and their parents simply took over the entire hotel. There was a group of 10-15 people drinking beer (and basically having a party) in the corridor outside my room. The room next to mine sounded like it had 25 people in it . Every public area of the hotel was monopolized by running, shouting, unsupervised kids. I have stayed in enough hotels to know how futile it is for someone who is renting a single room to complain about a group which is renting 20+ rooms. For this reason, I decided I would wait until 10 pm to complain about the noise. However, at exactly 10 pm all the noise suddenly stopped like someone had turned off a switch. I'm going to give the hotel credit for this although it would have been nice if they had put a stop to it much sooner.
I would stay there again but would hope to have better luck with the other guests next time.
