Complete relaxationPosted May 28, 2015
Pros: The complete relaxation
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: Beautiful location but a good walk from the town. Elderly folk can rely on taxis at reasonable cost.
Fortunately this resort largely survived the recent cyclone although the gardens did get trashed. Remarkably, seven weeks later the only evidence is the denuded palm trees which are now sprouting again. this is a lovely, childfree resort, beautifully maintained with excellent staff.

Mangoes before the stormPosted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Very peaceful.Great food, friendly staff.
Cons: Not much.Maybe staff could check if guests wanted drinks etc around pool.
Location: Great location away from hustle & bustle.Easy to get to all attractions & restaurants.Taxis waiting outside & drivers always aiming to please
Beautiful resort with great staff in a handy location.Originally chose lagoon view room, but swapped to a garden view for the air con (recommend air con in hotter months). The restaurant is fantastic.Pools & grounds are lovely.Would recommend for romantic escape.

quiet location hill sidePosted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: the pools are so close to rooms perfect staff are efficient, friendly and helpful so quiet and peaceful lovely surroundings
Cons: letting visitors know about air conditioning available restaurant quite expensive insect repellent should be in every room in summer
Location: it is about a 15 walk into port vila, down little tracks. Map is available cascades are a must Iriki island was really nice to visit
Loved the resort and how quiet it was perfect for us. Only downfall was the room had no air conditioning which in saying that had 6 sleepless nights as it was so humid. Other rooms do however have them. So next time I would certainly request one. Rooms need insect repellent especially this time of year. The pools were excellent, 3 in all. The staff were amazing. I would certainly stay there again.

Home away from homePosted Feb 15, 2015 on Hotels
From the airport pick up, to having a meal and a wine waiting upon my arrival after normal hours, to a pleasantly quiet night's sleep and a swim before breakfast what more could you ask for? Staff were most fun to deal with and very professional in their job. Great room service for an early breakfast and shuttle to the airport.

Great hotel and amazing, friendly staffPosted Jan 29, 2015
We chose mangos resort for our honeymoon and couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Our flight was unfortunately delayed by a day, however the resort were very helpful in securing the extra nights accommodation we required due to the schedule change. The facilities were of a very high standard and the food was amazing, if you chose to stay at he hotel then I highly recommending having dinner there at least once and the santo eye fillet steak was one of the best I have ever tasted (and I have tasted a lot of steak!!). Even if you are not staying there it is worth the trip up the hill from port villa town, you will not regret it. The hotel staff were some of the most welcoming and friendly staff of any hotel I have ever stayed in and it was a pleasure talking to them about their different cultures on the many islands that make up Vanuatu. The staff were genuinely interested in talking to us and made you feel like a friend rather than a customer. Overall the whole experience was great and I would love the opportunity to go back and stay there again and in the process break my own unwritten rule of never returning to the same place twice, it was that good.

Great ResortPosted Jan 11, 2015
Pros: Clean rooms, good food
Cons: Advertising not clear...thought resort was right on the lagoon...we had a huge mango tree blocking our view
Location: Close to town, just a bus ride away
We had a great stay at Mangoes Resort. The staff were most helpful and friendly!

Amazing Vanuatu, amazing Mangoes!Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: Everything! The no-children policy made it a perfect resort for couples - we were holidaying without ours and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
Cons: Air conditioning in the rooms.
Location: A short walk to supermarkets and 10 minute walk to the main Port Villa shops. Local buses at the door made it easy access to everything on Vanuatu.
This was one of the best holiday experiences we have ever had! The room was great, very clean with all the kitchen facilities needed. The numerous pools were a stunning luxury. The restaurant was superb, with no extra cost for room service (or pool service!). Service was at Vanuatu speed (slow) but always delivered with a friendly smile.

A place to relaxPosted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Friendliness of staff, quiet setting with nice views on the lagoon
Conveniently located between lagoon and city Mangoes provides every possibility to the client who prefers to relax rather than looking for permanent activities. Friendly staff and a good restaurant make a stay pleasant, more good restaurants are in walking distance downtown.
