was an alright experience, but nothing spectacular

some rooms are better than others, the hotel is starting to look tired, for Eilat-style buffets, I was actually disappointed, there was more selection at other hotels. Tamarin (breakfast) room was full of insects. It wasn't long before ants found their way into my shakshooka. Far too overpriced for what you get. Feels more like a three star hotel. King size bed is made by putting two twin beds together, if you sleep in the middle of the bed it's very uncomfortable. TV automatically turned on when you enter the room , very annoying feature, but at least you can unplug the TV. For a hotel of this category, there should've been bath salts or other amenities and toiletries provided, there were none. The toiletries provided seemed cheap , like bulk quality product poured into little bottles . If you're bringing a car, you may not find a place to park it; the hotel was designed with an insufficient number of parking spaces for guests, and the staff eagerly used whatever was left . The only good things about this hotel were the view and location . The hanging chandelier is also quite impressive, but it's not anything that adds to your experience of this hotel .

Nice Hotel but it's time for a face-lift

Beautiful grounds, needs to update it's maintenance. Service was ok, dining room was not bad but seems like it's time for better up-keep. Windows in the spa and jacuzzi room seemed not clean some rooms need a painting overall a very nice place to stay.

Good location on the main strip but it is at the end of it. Very nice pool and view!

Huge facility. Spa was crowded rooms need updated. Large rooms.

Great room. Some of the reception and Tower Lounge staff need more training in custommer relations. Otherwise, nice property. Oh, breakfast was OK compared to other hotels I stayed in Israel.

Great time at Herods Eilat

We had a wonderful stay, the room was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was incredible and we had lots of fun in the pool :)

Great beach stay

Great beach stay. Fantastic breakfast. Hotel in good condition but may need a face lift in a couple of years' time.

Two nights in Eilat

It was a short stay at Herods Palace. It was quite obvious that the hotel seen better days. Although nice and comfortable, it is not the 5 star experience we expected.

Okay, But Not Next Time

A decent stay but next time I will know better. We were there several days and during those days, they closed the hotel pool - the main reason we booked in the first place. No information its website or elsewhere - no warning. As you can imagine, it really dampened our stay. Herod's is at the end of the boardwalk, the last hotel. Next time, I'll be staying closer to town. It's a nice hotel, large with lots of amenities - but lacks cache. The breakfast was not tasty at all, and I'm not picky with my food. I'll be happy with just about anything, but it was very bland and nothing interesting...like having to do a chore in the morning, really. Service was friendly, however.
