Good location

If you are visiting Barcelona but do not want the hussle of city centre this is for you. Good metro links within 5m walk and great for Sagrada Familia also several good restaurants near by. Room was a slight disappointment, it took two hours to get in as the staff were at lunch. We were told (Saturday) on arrival our shower screen was broken but it would be replaced Monday, one week later still not replaced. Rooms were nicely cleaned every day but no fresh toiletries so we had to buy some from supermarket opposite. High speed Wi-fi did not work. Other than above minor issues we had a pleasant stay.

Pros: Location, high quality.
Stayed here with 5 friends. rooms were great, easily sleeps 6 people. Very well fitted out - a home away from home. Finished to a high standard. Good location, near a metro station, 30 mins walk to the beach, lots of nice bars and cafes near by. Supermarket across the road too which is very handy.

Pros: close to Sagrada Familia, convinient location for exploring the city,
Location: nice restorants and cafes
Good location, three bedroom apartment , nicely furnished , very clean, it has everything you need for a pleasent visit of the town, close to to the atractions, nice restorants and cafes near buy , only 2,5 km to the beach . The staff was very friendly and helpfull,

The hotel was very nice. However, they did not have washcloths. It was explained by service that people use spongies there but they didn't give them. I loved the three bedroom unit we had.

Had a nice stay overall.

Pros: good location and nice apartment
Cons: stock wash/face cloths so we didn't have to use our hands to wash
Location: 2 blocks to La Segarda Familia
The hotel was easy to get to from Metro. We had a nice apartment with comfortable bedding. There were just some minor problems with the room. The shower door leaked and the room safe was broken. My biggest complaint was that there were no face/wash cloths. The complimentary wine was a nice touch.

Do not go to Castro apartments

A terrible experience 1. At no point on the website did it state that children cannot use the pool. This was only shown once I had booked and paid in full. I would never have booked if this was known up front. 2. There are many other families that have experienced the same disappointment in the time we have been here. 3. We could not get in to the apartment until 4pm despite being told it was ready at 3.30pm and that it was possible. The only person willing to help us was the cleaner. 4. The light outside the apartment flickered and made a noise for two day before being replaced. 5. The shower does not work properly. It is either very cold or burning hot. No in between. This is not safe. 6. We were not told nor is it written on the website that breakfast and the spa are not part of the apartments and that you have to go outside to access. 7. Breakfast Day 1: There was nothing but 'left over' meat and rotten fruit on offer. No offer of anything else was made to us. I had to ask 4 times for something to eat. Day 3: We were told that breakfast is available from 8am. I went in at 8.30am and told that it is closed until after 9am. I was not offered anything to take with me. Rude and unhelpful staff that seem to make rules up to suit themselves. 9. Man in a deep sleep at reception. Is this supposed to be reception staff? Utterly unprofessional. 10. We can here the bathrooms used in every apartment. There is no sound proofing.

Dear Rachel: Let me first of all apologize on behalf of the entire team for the circumstances you tell me. Thank you for writing, because every meal helps us grow. Trying to solve your doubts / complaints we can start with the Spa and the pool because for more than a year we have added explicit information both to the photographs and to the texts although it is also true that there are webs that offer our apartments and not offer all the information. So I also apologize in case we have been able to escape some website where it does not appear, we will continue searching. We have a maintenance team that goes to the greatest hurry, although it is true that I am not sure if some of these deficiencies were communicated during the stay, we always encourage you to communicate any incident to try to solve it. It is true that our cleaners are excellent professionals and help in everything they can, I am glad that at least on that side they will help you :) Everything you tell us about relationships with the people can believe that we are already talking about it in the team because there are no excuses, we must always be at your disposal and assume the mistakes so I apologize again to you and to all of you family. I hope, yes, that you have enjoyed Barcelona and the city. Best regards.

Nice hotel close to la segrada

Perfect for families. Grocery store a cross the hotel for convenience. Accommodation complete. The gym and swimming pool for 16 and older.

would like to write to you about my hospitality experience at the Castro Apartments in Barcelona. On 23.7.2017 we arrived at the apartment house when we were ahead of the Chakin hour and received your representative on behalf of Lahay. She sent us to a room with two tickets but forgot to mention an important detail and that the rooms would only open at four o'clock and by then we were invited to ask the room cleaner to open the door for us. I also asked her for breakfast because I had ordered a deluxe room with breakfast for the whole family. She said there was nothing to worry about when we appeared on the list and again forgot to mention breakfast starting at 8.30. It is important to note that you write that breakfast begins at seven in the morning and in the room you leave a note that the meal starts at 8.15. In detail about your apartment hotel does not say anything about the breakfast outside the apartment house and that it starts at 8.30. This fact caused me a significant problem and a great embarrassment. By the time we arrived, the whole family had arrived, we did not appear on the list, and the girl at the front desk and the girl in the kitchen treated me very badly. They spoke among themselves on the phone in Spanish and I understood what they were talking about. They said that I wanted to eat and they did not understand what I wanted. Great place to stay!!!

Pros: We liked everything!
Location: Great location close to metro station, Sagrada familia and walkable distance to Plaza Cataluña which is the center (in my opinion) of the city!
What a wonderful place! I only have good things to say about Castro Exclusive Residence. Rooms are very clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. Metro and Sagrada Familia is a block and a half from the front door, supermarket is right across the street and many, many places to eat all around. Few staff we encountered were very nice and helped us schedule a taxi to pick us up early morning to go to the airport. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone interested in visiting Barcelona and stay close to a very quite (except the metro) neighborhood. Loved it!!!
