There were hairs on the sheets, towels and shower, looks like dirty, and there is too much noise because the hotel is under renovation, breakfast is guite well and the location is very good. Mr. Andria is a very nice person at the recepon, he guide us all the time

good location,helpful staff

Cons: unfortunately the first morning there was no hot water available due to repairs.
Location: close to the hop on hop off city sight seeing bus line
enjoyed our stay in the Petit Palace Barcelona Hotel . Helpful people at the front desk . especially Marina.

Good Choice

Pros: I liked the room, bed, bathroom, breakfast and staff.
Cons: The hallway from the lobby leading to the elevator.
Location: It is a long walk or short taxi to major sites.
I thought I was booking a different hotel in the group but in the end all was fine here. The staff was friendly, efficient and prompt. Our first room was not to our satisfaction and the changed us immediately to a very spacious and comfortable room. *We had breakfast included and it was very, very nice. There was a large selection of hot and cold foods on the buffet.... Cereals, fruit, hot and cold milk for cereal and coffee, meats, smoked salmon, cheeses, excellent breads, salad, ummmm much more and of course little donuts for desert. We realized after the first breakfast that we could have eggs made to order and that made it even better. The coffee machine is amazing and as a coffee lover - great. The breakfast room is downstairs and had ample seating albeit very basic and cafeteria-like. Still fine. It was not a problem at all for us. The staff in the breakfast room was excellent. *The hotel is located in a good neighborhood and within walking distance of many sites. We only walked or used a taxi and there is a taxi stand on the corner just a few feet from the hotel. * We had dinner one night that was so very good. We had chosen to just stay close to the hotel and pick a place that just appealed to us. Well we got lucky. Just around the corner from the hotel is CRUDO BAR . * don't know what the hotel was before this but obviously it has had major renovations. We reached our room though a make-shift corridor and then up an elevator. No problem.

Excellent two evening stay

The hotel staff was wonderful. So helpful and accommodating. Stayed in two different rooms because of my last minute decision to stay another evening. The 2nd room was as wonderful and the first. The staff made the move so smooth and easy. I actually will now stay at this hotel when Inteturn to Barcelona. It was also the perfect location!!!!

Good location, not so great hotel

Pros: The location
Cons: overall customer service
Location: About a 10min walk to las Ramblas and main shopping/dining area. About a 20min walk to the Sagrada Familia. 5min walk to two different train stations.
I stayed at the Petit Palace Barcelona for 5 nights, with 8 people, 3 rooms, and it was utter disappointment. To start off, you walk into the lobby and everything is very dark. The furniture, the walls, and a lot of the decorations were either black or very dark which is not appealing for a hotel. It gave a sort of muggy look and scary really. The hotel rooms had a lot of issues such as doors not locking securely, tvs not working, and leaking from vents. The maid service was also unacceptable. After being out all day, we stopped by our hotel room around 5pm and the room was still not done. After calling the front desk they mentioned the maids were gone for the day and the best thing they could do was give us fresh towels. Just towels? I thought that was unacceptable. Overall although the Petit Palace Barcelona has a good location it does not compensate for the lack of service given to its guests.

VVery dispointed!!booked with three beds, but only provide one small double and one sofa bed and helpless.

Great Breakfast and Location

The hotel is two blocks from Placa Catalunya, one block from Casa Batllò, and one block from El Nacional restaurant. There are not many other good restaurants around. The breakfast is varied and good. There are also free bicycles for guests to use.
