Superb location

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Location and decoration
Cons: Coffee and tea facilities in the room
Location: Look on a map!
Great stay although double booked for our first night and was transferred over the road to another hotel of equal rating, apparently upgraded to a superior room for the other two nights but as we didn't see a standard we didn't know if this was so! Would still rate the hotel and go back as the location is great, just up from La Rambla and all the tour bus stops. Tea and coffee facilities are on the first floor and its a shame that each room doesn't have its own, but that said the rooms are lovely with good showers and a safe.

Location excellent. Superior room a good size

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The decor was nice. The rain shower was excellent. The rooms were updated. The tile was original and I took pictures of it as it is really nice.
Location: We walked from hotel to : Sagrada Familia church, Casa Mila, Picasso museum, harbour, Barri Gotic area and Rambla.
We enjoyed the terrace for a picnic one afternoon. The Superior room 308 faced the terrace and was a good size. We watched TV in bed as no chairs and that was comfy enough. The Wall Street Journal excerpt came to the terrace area daily. The location is a big draw. The restaurant next door has good food.

Barcelona

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: This hotel is right in the middle of the famous Rambla street and within walking distance to most attractions. Beautiful 200 year old building.
Location: Visit as many of Goudy's buildings as you can and go inside at least one of them. Full day's of stroll on the Rambla street is a must.
Barcelona is a beautiful city; no visitor will be disappointed. We stayed for two nights and did not have time to visit all the attractions. A full day's walk on the Rambla street is a must and a couple of hours of strolling after sunset is highly recommended. Find a place to eat on one of the side streets instead of on Rambla itself if you want to save money. The food was good, the people are very friendly and most speak enough English to help with whatever you need. Public transportation is very effective in getting people to their destinations. You must go inside at least one of Goudy's buildings most of which are within walking distance of this hotel.

Praktik Rambla Barcelona

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: It was beautiful and clean.
Location: The hotel was in a prime location with attractions nearby in all directions. It was pretty close to the cruise terminal as well.
My mother and I stayed one night in the Praktik Rambla before embarking on a cruise. It was beautiful, very clean, and was on the main strip so we could easily walk places. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was also priced well.

Brilliant central location

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Location, architecture, staff, coffee/tea facilities and the free wifi.
Cons: A note on the espresso machine asking guests to remove their used espresso bags. Some guests were not polite enough to do so.
Location: Central to Casa Battlo, La Pedrera and La Rambla, was just in perfect location. Close to the metro too.
A great oldyworldy hotel, with free wifi and coffee/tea. It is very comfy and in a brilliant location. Would stay again.

Inexpensive bijou hotel well located on La Rambla

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms. Well located. Free coffee and juices. Friendly helpful staff. Extremely quiet.
Cons: Nothing really so long as you appreciate it is a small inexpensive but non luxury hotel. The rooms are a little small and dark but adequate.
Location: All the culture, shopping and restaurants/bars that Barelona has to offer.
Stayed there for 3 nights as part of a two centre holiday (3 nights at the Pratick and 4 nights at the W). Excellently located for exploring the City including all the Gaudi buildings, museums, shopping, parks and restaurants. It is possible to explore everywhere on foot from this hotel except Park Guel which is only an inexpensive taxi ride away. There are no restaurants or bars in the hotel but given the location this is not a problem since you have the entirety of La Rambla right outside your door. Very thoughtfully there are free coffee making facilties on every floor (pressurised coffee shop type machines) with free ground coffee pods, tea bags and milk. Also, free selection of fruit juices every afternoon. There is a very uncrowded terrace to sit on and soak up some rays or catch up on reading.
