Beautiful view but not convenient.

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, nice little restarant
Cons: Clean the pool so it looks more appealing to go into, make sure fans in rooms work (ours didn't), inform guests of bus on arrival
Location: VERY FAR from La Fortuna, Close to Sky Advantures, Butterfly Observatory, and a hiking trail
There is nothing wrong with this hotel, it has a great view, especially during the sunrise, and the hotel staff are extremely helpful. The rooms are clean and they provide enough service for it to be comfortable. The only problem is the location. It is very far from many of the main attractions near La Fortuna and even though there is a bus that can take you into town for $6 each, you have to tailor your schedule to this bus. Overall still had an amazing experience but would probably go to a different location closer to La Fortuna next time. Location: VERY FAR from La Fortuna: taxi's will charge $40 to get to this hotel from La Fortuna, so ask your receptionist to call a taxi and only charge $30. If you want to go to the hot springs, La Fortuna waterfall, and La Fortuna itself it would be better to find a hotel that is closer to these attractions. Bus schedule only have three leaving times from hotel: 6am, 11am, 4pm and will pick up from La Fortuna at 5:30pm

Very nice, close to Arenal

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: Quiet, beautiful views, helpful staff
Cons: as said, bathroom could use updating, but wouldnt hold this against them.
Location: Close to Arenal and zip lining
Very nice hotel! very close to Arenal. Small cottages with beautiful view! Comfortable and clean, bathroom needs a little updating but it does its purpose. Very quiet! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast included and very good! Small quiet hotel, beautiful flowers!! I would certainly stay here again.

Great staff, Nice hotel, Horrible road

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: The staff was incredible!
Cons: The access to the hotel
Location: The canopy Zip lines and and Sky were awesome.
The staff was exceptional (especially Micheal) and the hotel rooms were very nice, the view was incredible. The road to the hotel was one of the worst roads I have ever taken. Took out one tire and turned the 5 mile journey into an hour ordeal each time we went to town. It's no fault of the hotels, but it should be noted to plan extra time in your day to travel.

wonderful view to the vulcano.

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: view to the vulcano and lake, quiet place
Cons: renovation necessary; overpriced
Location: butterfly farm very close (200m uphill)
wonderful view to the vulcano, breakfast not worse it; simple old but very clean rooms; charm of the 70s. Often groups. No swimmingpool althought the fotos on the website seem to show that. It 's just a not so inviting tube.

Acceptable Hotel

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: The view
Cons: The pool size and the road to get there.
Location: They have a list with a bunch of activities to do, off course paying extra.
The hotel it self was ok, the staff was nice and it was clean. My biggest turn down was the pool, on the pictures it looks like a decent- normal size pool, but is actually more like a jacuzzi or kids pool cause the water is not even warm. Also, in order for you to get to the hotel you have to drive on a 10km dirt road that unless you have a 4x4 car will be a problem. I was able to get to the hotel just fine, but I think they should mention that.

Hospedaje Estresante

Posted Jan 26, 2015 on Hotels
