Very well located, walking distance to major tourist atractions. Being a small hotel we got a very personalized attention from the staff. We will certainly be back next time in Buenos Aires so this hotel is highly recommended.

good for the discounted price

Posted May 27, 2017
Pros: location and size of the accommodations.
Cons: Room carpets and furniture. Some of the staff, not all of them, could use some hospitality training.
Location: perfect location, surrounded by hotels, restaurants, near main arteries.
We have been staying in the Lois Recoleta for many years but, due to the low rates at the Esmeralda, we decided to take our chances. The location is excellent, the staff needs more training, especially the night concierge who seemed to be engaged in a personal discussion and had no time to give us information. Others were fine but not overly welcoming. The breakfast was fine but repetitive and limited. We had a nice apartment, that is most definitely, better than the single room in the Recoleta but could have used a carpet shampoo and an extra touch in the bathroom. All in all, we might go back but not paying more than the low rate that we paid this time around.

Thanks for the time spent writing to us. Your opinion is very important to us, it helps us to improve. We are remodeling the rooms, changing carpets for ceramic floor. I hope to assign you one of these suites in your next stay. Best regards,

Hotel located downtown.

Hotel close to many tourists attractions that are walkable if one doesn't have any issues walking 1-5 KM. I.E. Florida Street many shops malls etc., Cemetery de la Recoleta, many parks and green spaces. Taxis, bus transportation easily accessible. Price very reasonable, however if you expect a five star, it is not, it's older, needs some renovations, but it is clean and front desk staff friendly.

Thank you very much for your comment. The 5 star chain hotel in Buenos Aires is Loisuites Recoleta which is located in Recoleta. We are so glad we had a lovely stay at the Loisuites Esmeralda, we hope to see you again on your next trip to our city. Best regards, María Rosa Edo

Although our room was in need of a facelift, we got great value. The staff was knowledgeable, spoke English and were very friendly.

Perfectly located hotel and great staff. Rooms are a little tired perhaps but you get great value for money, particularly taking into account their delicious buffet breakfast.

Old hotel in the center of Buenos Aires

Posted Aug 23, 2015
The hotel is old and the rooms are small and some of them still smell like cigarette smoke. It is located in the center of the city and accessible to public transportation.

The times I stayed there, the kitchen staff were accommodating in providing me salt and oil when ever I needed and also I would take breakfast to the room. They change administration and now you can't take any breakfast to the room otherwise you would be charged and also they couldn't provide me the items I needed to cook such as butter. The breakfast was very poor.

Dear guest, thanks for your comments, your opinion about your experience and suggestions are very importat to us. Since 5 years ago, the hotel doesn't provide dinner and lunch service. We offer buffet breakfast or it could be delivered to the room with an extra cost. Due to the restaurant is close, unfortunately, we are not able to provide ingredients such as butter or oil. We apologize for this incovenient and we would be pleased to share with you the alternatives of restaurants delivery we have available for our guests. We look forward to receiving you again during your next visit to Buenos Aires. Best regards, María Rosa Edo

Great value for money in BA

Posted May 22, 2015 on HotelClub
We stayed at Loi Suites for 6 nights in May 2015. We were checked into a Superior Suite in the 4th floor with a view over Marcelo T De Alvear. The room was spacious, clean, light & airy. There was no stuffy smell upon entry. The window has external timber blinds which were partly drawn we took these up as far as they could go and left them there. The heavy curtains provided sufficient block out to sleep and the windows held out most of the noise from the city. The room is air conditioned allowing the guest to set their own room temperature. The bathroom is clean and of a good size with a shower over the bath. Great water pressure. Breakfast was included. Spread of cereal, fruit, bread (toaster provided), spreads, ham, cheese, juice and coffee. Staff are courtesy and helpful, although were unable to provide a knife to take back to the room?? The room did advertise separate living space - two chairs at the end of the room, and a kitchenette - a tray in the cupboard with kettle and cups for coffee. Location is great, just a few blocks from a large shopping mall. The area is all at so good for walking and did places further away taxis are abundant supply.

Great for a family

Five of us were traveling and it is hard to find a hotel which accommodates us in one room. They have suites with two separate rooms which is great for a family.
