The jewel in the crownPosted Oct 2, 2015
We travelled from Monument Valley to San Francisco on this trip, and of all the hotels we stayed in this ones occupies the most special place in our hearts. Rev the Innkeep was a lovely man, and bumped us to a better room because it was pretty quiet. The room on the front, at the top, was an utter revelation. The immaculate interior, spa bath at the bottom of the bed and ornate gas fire were one thing, but the balcony onto the beach and ocean was another. We spent the night drinking wine and listening to the amazing sound of the waves, and were lucky enough to get there in time for sunset. The breakfast burrito was great, and they're happy to deliver to your room. Amazing place that I'm worried will never be beaten. Couldn't recommend that Inn, or even that room specifically, highly enough.

Quiet, Restful, and BeautifulPosted Sep 22, 2015
Pros: The low key, friendly staff. The food. The porch to sit and enjoy the view.
Cons: Can't think of a thing
Location: Walk a beach that must be 8 miles end to end. Bicycle a very long path along the beach head. Try to find Maverick's Beach. Talk to friendly locals
We were given a first floor room right across a bike path from a beautiful quiet beach. There was plenty of tasty food, both appetizers with wine in the evening and for breakfast, and snacks. Coffee available 24/7. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was excellent (above my 6'2" head. We had a small balcony, with room to sit with our wine and watch the beach walkers, dolphins, whales, and sunset. Really could not have asked for more for the price.

Relaxing & ComfortablePosted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location. Staff was friendly. Comfortable bed. Loved the fireplace and porch with a view.
Location: Right on the beach! Great restaurants within walking distance. Lots of beach walks nearby. Easy access to San Francisco.
Had a great four nights at this hotel. Delicious and unique breakfast each morning. Comfortable room with cozy fireplace, porch with full beach view. Right on the beach, great for morning walks and sunset. Enjoyed the evening appetizers and a glass a wine that was provided.

Romantic and relaxing innPosted May 30, 2015 on Hotels
This is a sweet little inn in a very quiet neighborhood north of Half Moon Bay. Our room's decor was definitely dated (it was Naples Beach and had an 80s vibe) but overall our stay was great. We left the door to the little porch open so we could hear the waves, and with the fireplace going we had nothing but peace. The cheese and wine in the afternoon and the breakfast in the morning were great amenities and the service was nothing but friendly. We definitely want to go back.

Old and rustic at the end of the road.Posted May 10, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed one night. Requested a downstairs unit if no elevator and we're not told until the night we arrived that it was not available. My husband has a disability that makes stairs extremely difficult to navigate. We were very disappointed with the lack of communication regarding our accommodation prior to our arrival. Walls are very thin and you hear neighbor guests. It did have a very delicious breakfast. Staff was very nice.

Nice for a quiet getawayPosted May 5, 2015 on Hotels
The view of the ocean and sound of the waves crashing from our room were spectacular! Breakfast was delicious, as well as evening wine, apps, and dessert. The room, bathroom, and deck were quite small, but comfortable enough. We also booked a room for our son and daughter-in-law to join us, as we were in CA to visit them. They loved everything about the inn. As for location, it's not in little town near shops, as I was hoping, so we took a 2 hour beautiful drive to Carmel for a day. I recommend this inn if you want a quiet getaway, but as tourists, it's a bit off the beaten path! All in all, a good stay!
