Decent for the money

Posted Feb 23, 2017
Kids were disappointed that the pool was out of service. At the dome restaurant/bar they charged higher prices than what is listed on the menu. Breakfast buffet is rather costly and just so so. As far as location it's great and fun to walk around downtown.

Horrible shower

Posted Jan 22, 2017
The shower had no indicators which way with hot or cold offer on and the Showerhead was broken with no pressure. The pillows stink like sweat

Pros: location
The room was cold and they had to send someone to manually switch over to heat. They charge for parking even if you are a guest. Don't expect a king size bed either. They only have queen size beds available.

Horrible check in. Signed in SPANISH

Posted Dec 30, 2016
They refused to give me the key to the room until I signed some document that was only partially translated from Spanish to English, really! The manager lied to me and said it was all in English, and when I pointed out a paragraph that said something in Spanish about how they treat my personal information, she grabbed the key from me and said if I didn't sign I could not stay there. Worst of all the document said if I have a legal problem with the hotel, I had to sue in Mexico. Yes I signed, only because we were tired travelers and it was late. surreal.

Used to be nice

Posted Dec 28, 2016
A/C didn't work, carpets were dirty, bathroom tile was dirty, old furniture, torn curtains, dirty tub, not enough towels...needs a major renovation.

Don't be fooled by the photo when booking

Posted Dec 18, 2016
Pros: Location to where we needed to be was perfect.
Cons: Better customer service, thoroughly cleaning the rooms.
Location: Downtown El Paso.
It looks like a really lavish hotel, worth the price, but it is run down and old, they haven't even updated it. Front desk agent made us wait a good ten minutes before he even acknowledged we were standing there, he was too busy doing something else (not assisting customers).

Nice hotel. Historic

Nice bar area for after work. Weather was cold so with the high ceiling it was cold. Little hard to drink beer but not a problem.

Trip to El Paso

Posted Dec 8, 2016
Cons: service, renovation, attention to detail...lots of things could be improved.
not impressed with this hotel, its in serious need of renovation. has a lot of "charm" could be great. staff wasn't rude, but they surely weren't what I normally expect in the hospitality industry. hotel needs a lot of attention. noticed multiple empty cups sitting outside hotel rooms for entire 24 hour period, no coffee in the morning? have NEVER heard of that... hotel is just okay, but i wont stay there again.

Nice Hotel

Posted Dec 1, 2016
Pros: It is at the heart of the city
Cons: Other facilities needs upgrading
Location: park and stores are at a walking distance
I have a very restful sleep, the place is historical and the view in the lobby is quite scenic.
