The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was of a very high standard and very clean. The restaurant serves good food. A local area travel ticket was included. And all at an amazingly good price.

Good second visit and excellent location
Our second stay at this hotel, mainly because it is so close to the main railway station and we were traveling by train. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff very friendly. Room was well equipped (safe, but no fridge). Will stay again if travelling in the area.

Right next to the Bahn Hof and Schwebabahn. They included a two-day pass for the Schwebabahn which takes you through the length of Wuppertal. This is a CASHLESS Hotel.

This hotel was built decades ago and was initially the "Hotel Kaiserhof" (the "K" with the crown can still be seen in the elevator floors and the Kaiser on the Horse statue is still standing next to the entrance. The hotel has undergone several modernizations and the latest gives it a modern look and feel. The Flemmings Express hotel is a recommendable place for your visit in Wuppertal.

Excellent Hotel
The location was very convenient - near bus and train station and walking distance to city centre. Very excellent service from reception staff. They were very helpful and provided information on Covid Testing and booked me a taxi to Dusseldorf Airport. Breakfast was excellent and staff in dining service were very efficient and courteous. The hotel has excellent ambience, very clean and quiet and safe place to stay. I definitely will stay here again and strongly recommend it to business travellers. One thing to be improved is cable TV for International News and Stock Market Updates.

Very easy choice if you arrive by train
While certainly not brand-new, the location is excellent for anyone arriving by train, the staff is very friendly and the quality of the rooms is well above their current asking price (January 2022)

High rating well deserved
Very good location: next to the central train station and city centre, but still not in a noisy district. Good restaurant in the lobby, with a nice view. Rooms are spacious, clean and quiet, equipped with modern furniture, including small refrigerator and a small water boiler; TV offers plenty of channels. Most of the personnel are helpful, friendly and professional, but if you happen to check-in/out outside working hours, then you might be served by a less professional colleagues.

Great quality for price paid; not far from Cologne
I love staying at this hotel on my way back from the eastern side of Germany to London by train. A perfect stopover as the value for money is very high (much cheaper than Cologne for what you get. Cologne is about 40mins away by train). Bedroom very comfortable (bed & duvet) & nicely styled (layout, wide opening windows, furnishings, lighting); friendly & helpful reception team in a very nice open space, again very nicely styled; excellent variety at breakfast & good quality; and finally, just 2 or 3 minutes walk to the main railway station which makes it incredibly convenient. Also just a few minutes walk to the nearest Schwebebahn station for local transfer around the city. The Schwebebahn is highly unusual & a reason to visit Wuppertal in itself, & most room rates seem to include a free ticket for unlimited Schwebebahn & bus journeys during your stay.

Well located for station and town centre
Very convenient for the station, we were on an overnight stay between trains. Comfortable large rooms in twin or double configuration. The open, large, airy lobby has reception, the restaurant and a comfortable bar, where we ended our evening. Good buffet breakfast. Fresh bean-to-cup coffee and teapots were nice touches. We were offered a local travel pass, free, which would have covered the suspended railway had it not, unfortunately been closed for maintenance.

Great!
The hotel is well located for the train station, and central area. I admit it took me a while to work out how to get to the hotel entrance by foot but there is a bridge from the bus station which takes you straight there. Room very clean and modern, good price, good breakfast and service. Will stay again.

Great location, great stay!
We had a great stay at the intercity hotel. It is just across from the rail and bus stations, with no roads to cross, so the location is perfect. The staff were all friendly, and the room very clean and warm. I’m not sure how old the hotel is, but everything looked newly done. The breakfast was fab, a huge choice, buffet style with a wide range of foods and hot drinks. We would definitely stay in this hotel again if we go back to Wuppertal. Unfortunately, the Schwebebahn railway was shut while we were there (our reason for visiting!) but if it had been open, we could have taken advantage of a complimentary local travel pass, which comes included in the room rate, which can also be used on the local buses, which we thought was a fabulous idea.

Good service and nice hotel. But the access to the hotel was inconvenient due to the construction project adjacent to the railway station. And when I returned from my walk, the paper key card provided by the Frontdesk for the access via carpark failed. I had to call the front-desk and they sent a staff to open the gate for me.

A good place to stay
I arrived by train on platform 2 and exited the station to find the hotel. However, it is located in the midst of a large regeneration project and access is very restricted. I had to clamber through a gap in the fencing - so make a note that access is from Platform 1 at the station OR via the car parking access lift! Otherwise, this is an excellent hotel. Single room was a decent size, bed comfy, quiet room, air con and temperature good. Tea and coffee making facilities and free water provided. Fabulous breakfast selection. Reception friendly and helpful. The included local travel ticket covers a huge area - a real benefit for exploring the area. 5 mins walk to station and town centre. My rating only downsized by problem reaching the hotel in the first instance and the thin towels that were like sandpaper!

Reasonable hotel close to railway station
Roadworks outside hotel, ongoing for about 3 years, limit access by foot and road. Would be better if easier access via the garage. If you do not have a cell phone top call the fronmt desk you cannot readily gain access. Staff are freindly, efficient, speak English well. good free WiFI i8ntenret access

Good location, just 5 minutes walk to the town centre. We had a room on the 6th floor with good views over the town. Nice size room, did ask for double bed but got twin beds instead. Beds very comfortable. Excellent breakfast selections. Evening menu a bit limited but not an issue with the town centre so close. Staff vey friendly and helpful. Nice touch of free transport passes including the suspension railway. A visit to the Wuppertaler Brauhaus, behind the Rathaus at Alter Market well worth a visit. Brewery/Resturant in an old swimming pool. Will stay here again when we are in the region

Really close to main train station and suspension railway. Currently the main station is under renovation so found it a bit tricky to find entrance to hotel....should be soon finished though.

Good value, but....
good hotel, desp. needs renovation in a very, presently due major, long term construction of the main railway station complex, good and normall easily accessible area of downtown Wuppertal. Fabulous breakfast, very clean overall, but aged. Bath towels, if one call them that, are some of the worst I have seen in mnany decades of travelling. Transportation card is a huge plus and public transport works like a charm. the hotel is definitely no longer a 4 star property, but good value for a 3star property in the middle of a city seemingly under endless construction

quiet and conveniently close to rail station
all very easy. The breakfast was fantastic but the coffee was not at all good. I had one dinner there which was nice adn quite Geman in flavour which was good as a tourist. Staff were all lovely and helpful and the room was quite adequate and clean, but having a tub shower might be a problem for very large of infirm people.

The room was big but getting into the hotel from the underground garage was very inconvenient and the entry Card didn't work well. The staff was standoffish, didn't tell me everything I needed to know. I found that the staff at the Arcade Hotel were very friendly, helpful and warm. The breakfast was good but the breakfast at Arcade rocked! The Beds are low quality and not very comfortable by US standards. Mostly though, it was the attitude there and the inconvenience that made me find a new hotel.

Good choice near to station
Good hotel. The spacious clean rooms need a makeover - they are a 1980 style. You can hear everything in the adjoining rooms as the interconnecting doors are thin. The restaurant is very good with high quality evening meals and extensive high end breakfast. The surroundings are basically a building site as the town is undergoing major works. The hotel provide a free transportation card which is a great bonus. The swebebahn (a suspended rail system over river) station is next to the hotel and is fantastic. It would be useful if the hotel could warn visitors arriving by train to walk to the end of the platform to gain access as I walked all the way around the construction and sneaked in under a the car park barrier as although it had a sign saying hotel entrance for visitors on foot the door is locked and you have to duck under the car barrier. The gym needs some new bikes
