The road leading to the property was treacherous to traverse in an SUV. So once we were up, we didn’t want to leave. We had to wait until after 3 to check into our room even though there was only my husband and I and one other guest staying in the cottages. The room was a lovely room with ocean views. Pasquale’s restaurant is rarely open. No ice on premises and internet was out as well as electricity a few hours a day. The beach is beautiful but has so much trash along the dune lines but from our visit to Eleuthera, most of their beaches are riddled with plastic trash. That’s what you get for $200 a night in the off season.

We loved our bungalow which was spacious and comfortable. The chef Pascal was very good. The bartender Sammy was very friendly. However, there is no breakfast service. It is difficult to get into the resort due to a poor driveway. The pool is in disrepair and needs retiling. The hot tub is not functional. The beach however is beautiful, however there are no chairs or umbrellas out there. The place needs a big investment and then would be stunning.

We stayed in Bungalow 1 close to the swimming pool. Bungalow 1 is ok with a fine view over the swimming pool and the sea. Pascal's bar was fine and created a good atmosphere. However, the swimming pool is in a sorry state of repair - tiles missing and not clean. It does not deserve the very positive description on Hotel.com. Nobody used it the three days we stayed in the hotel. Also clean the beach, please. In places it looked like the inside of a garbage bin. Not a common sight at Eleuthera

So let me set a proper expectation for you. Eleuthera is a beautiful island with kind, beautiful, people. Like the island itself the perfection is sort of in the imperfections. Sky Beach is no exception. When you read the older reviews a lot of what is described is correct. This property was a development gone belly up, which is why it hasn't reached its true potential. The property doesn't have 24-hour staffing and definitely seems to lack regular upkeep / maintenance on the pool, spa, and the grounds. They were starting work on the road and the beach access, which gets washed away regularly. Now Sammy is the real deal. A happy host providing great spirit/spirits while bringing people together. Many of the locals will say the same thing as they come to the property just to visit him. Thank you, Sammy you are the BEST! Staffers were pleasant, accommodating, and the food was really tasty. Mekell though not always onsite did pick up the phone when something was needed. The bungalows are nice, spacious, clean, and make for a solid stay, but don't get upset when the power goes out, it happens to the entire island. Location is central for ease to island access, the beach has beautiful pink sand, the property is very relaxing, with the sounds of waves crashing in the backdrop. It felt as if it was entirely ours. I always check my options, but personally would not hesitate to stay at Sky Beach again especially knowing what I know. Plus, experiences are made not given!

We got a little bungalow which is quite amazing for a couple. It's directly at the pool, which has sea view, and Pascal’s restaurant Cons: - no check-in counter / desk - the road to the bungalow is quite broken - no room cleaning was done Overall a good recommendation and the many positive things are worth the few small cons

This property had multiple closed signs when we arrived. Bar and restaurant were not intending to open till night after we arrived. Property has not been maintained. Pool was in bad shap spa was empty and over grown, beach bar building was boarded shut with closed signs. We were only guests and no onsite staff overnight. We found machete on picnic table next morning. The place should not be available for booking.

Sammy was incredible. He is infectious and extremely hospitable. The property itself is a bit run down. Pool furniture is in poor shape. Hot tub was not full or running. Curtains are torn in spots, lampshades stained and do not fit properly, took a while to figure out how to lock and unlock front door, whirlpool tub is hard to work as well, only one remote for air-conditioning (there are two in the Bungalow)and it was very cold, especially in the bathroom. CC presents herself as an employee and even uses Sky Beach Club as her email. Yes she is hospitable and kind but not trustworthy in the slightest. She entered my room without my knowledge and went through my belongings. I noticed several things out of place. A couple of staff members saw her enter and exit. This is a liability and the last thing I would have expected from her. I wont be back to Sky Beach Club and i will post this to every forum to let others know what to expect. It's an extreme violation of privacy. Especially someone who has keys to all units and is not an employee.I sent and email to the property managers and was told this was the first they had heard of something like this happening. It's a shame because the view is breathless.

The accommodation - a bungalow- was lovely! Clean, modern, thoughtfully laid out and prepared. However It was NOT a hotel - more like a serviced condo. Tara, the 'concierge' was most helpful. The road was appalling down to the accommodation- the worst that we found on the island, which says a lot. Be warned! And the set up needed love and attention. eg one tatty fixed umbrella on the beach and a few chairs in various states of brokenness. Very peaceful until 12pm when music began, linked to the great pool/ swim up bar, and restaurant. Virtually deserted until then though. You definitely need a car to get out and about- which you would wherever you stay. A beautiful island and we kept coming upon surprises - like Baccus fine foods for great coffee or an icecream shop selling icecream and waffle cones, not to mention the beaches. But it is not all pristine and cut and dried- which was reflected in the hotel. But our 11 nights stay was just what we needed!

This is not hotel. They build few houses next to the Public bar and restaurant... the worst place to stay.. many locals coming and they using swimming pool. Beach is really dirty. Many empty bottles from drinks. Nothing to eat . You need rent car or taxi to get anything to eat. Bed really uncomfortable. The cheapest matres cover with blanket to make it soft. You can't stay more than 5hrs in the bed because back pain is horrible. No cabanas for rent on the beach. We got message from owner if you are heavy breakfast eater you need rent car. I have no idea who gave to this place 4* I bought this vacation because they have only 7 houses so we want to rest but if you are really looking for quiet place stay a way!!!! The worst vacation ever and we are traveling a lot. I hope expedia will remove this place from the list. Nothing what you can read about this "hotel" on the website is not true. We were there only one couple. Rest houses were empty.

Complete Eleuthera
Excellent location, good facilities. Outstanding beach. Great people. I would like to see a bit more from the restaurant, although many people are obviously fond of it. There are other good restaurants not too far away by car. A car is essential to get the best out of the island.

Nice comfortable room with air tub and fabulous shower. Lacking in drawers for clothing. One of the Best beaches around and nice pool area. On site restaurant and bar was very good. The bar and restaurant were open to the public and it got a little crowed at the pool with locals. 2015

Great rooms on superb beach
Wonderful staff, great rooms, wonderful swim-up bar with Sammy, the number one bartender in Eleuthera, at the helm. The pool could stand a little more cleaning and the restaurant offerings are not top of the line. The beach is spectacular and just a few hundred feet from the pool/bar/restaurant. All in all, this is a lovely place where you feel instantly at home.

Terrific in every way
Our one-room villa was comfortable and luxurious. The staff was very friendly and focused entirely on our experience. And you can't beat the views of the sparking turquoise waters and pink sand.

Great Place for big families!
This is an excellent resort for large families. The villa has 4 bedrooms and lots of space. The only complaint is that the pool heater wasn't working so the water was very cold in the pool and whirl pool.

This hotel will be terrible in six months time
The hotel was physically probably amazing when built. The amount of money spent was in line with what the idea for a luxury hotel/villa experience should be at the pricepoint they are charging. The maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel, however will have this hotel hoping to be even three star in a few months. No one we tried to offer our reviews to on staff seemed to care about any feedback constructive or otherwise. They have undergone a management change and all of the information listed in hotel books was incorrect. The bungalows were fully booked as well as the villas upon our arrival and the bartender (NOT Sammy as he was away and we still have heard rave reviews about him) complained to his manager about having to work period, couldn't be bothered to stay any later than 8:45 for 6 people paying for drinks at the bar and on top of that they were out of everything and never stocked it back up during the five days we were there despite requests for multiple drinks. It seems to us that the hotel is going under and everyone is just riding it out until this happens. There was NO wi-fi for the entire five days the first two had bad weather so we assumed and were told that was why but then it never came back up and no one seemed to have any reason to fix it. We have been told by others who were there two weeks prior it was also out there so no telling if it ever worked. Sad story for a place that could be great with the right team of people and some general maintenance.

Beautiful quiet getaway, a hidden gem.
We had a wonderful stay here. The bungalow was so beautiful and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and attentive and we were treated to really delicious meals and cocktails. It was such a great place to relax, love the pool area. A short walk down the bluff and you have an entire beach all to yourself with lounge chairs and miles of beach. Absolutely LOVED the layout of the bungalow that we stayed in and how clean it was. They gave us excellent recommends on where to enjoy the live entertainment, restaurants and things to do on the island. They even arranged for a rental car for us, which was awesome! We felt very well taken care of and look forward to staying here again in the future. No complaints.

The perfect place for a honeymoon
We celebrated our honeymoon in this amazing place, and I really can't think of a better place then Sky beach club. Let's say that Eleuthera is the most beautiful place I have ever been to and the Sky beach club is by far the best place on the island (even the locals say that). The resort is amazing and the service provided by Steve and Selina was beyond what you can ask, they just want to help and to know that you are having the best time of your life. We really felt like home. Thank you for helping us to have the best honeymoon!!!

Hotel made me feel safe, relaxed and refreshed
I did not know how I would like staying at a bungalow. Sky Beach's Bungalow was more than I expected. It was spacious, luxurious, clean, quiet, right on the beach, every view, no matter where I stood in the room, was the breathtaking view of the ocean. I had internet service, flat screen cable T.V., refrigerator, coffee maker, sitting area and so much more. There was also an oversized gorgeous chair in the front of the bungalow that I sat in for hours, doing work, while looking at the beautiful ocean. The bungalows were closer to the beach than the houses. I did not have to drive anywhere...the beach and restaurant were a few steps away and yet still quiet and undisturbed.

Great place
The Sky lodge is a really nice place but there is not much to it. Only 3 bungalows and two houses. That being said, our room was wonderful. The restaurant and pool are beautiful but the surrounding landscaping is kind of bare. Beautiful beach. We don't hang around resorts much so we can't say much about things going on there. If you want to have a place to yourself or with not many people, this place is great. We certainly enjoyed that. It was centrally located on the island and we drove all the way north and south from there during our trip. During busier seasons they have a band on Saturday night but they did not have that while we were there. It would probably be pretty fun to go to. The one person we asked about snorkeling trips was not very knowledgeable but again, we were there at a slow time when there weren't a lot of trips available. Most hotels I have been at have been able to get us in contact with people who run snorkeling day trips. The food was very good at the restaurant.

Sky Beach was great! The villas were very nice, just steps from the pool and about 100 yards from the beach. The food at the Sky Beach Bistro was good. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Nice location on the island, centrally located with Governor's Harbor just a short drive south. I would definitely stay here again!

Amszing rooms with really nice and big showers perfekt for a cupple that just want to chill and relax the beach are 2min walking distance and you will be almost alone. the food was good but took a little time, The pool was really clean and not so much people. It was a great experience!

Modern hotel in Eleuthera
This hotel has only 3 bangalos and several houses with 4 bed room each - fits about 10 people with great comfort. the best way to get there is via Governor's Habour Airport as North Eleuthera Airport is a bit far away. Food and service are very good. nice pool. great ocean view. there're only 4 or five houses in the same beach so it has the exclusive feeling.

Suggestion: please fit the road to the hotel, it is really unpleasant. And... a four stars hotel should have room cleaned every day and not every other day. Is such a beautiful place, make it gorgeous!

Unser Aufenthalt auf Eleuthera war super: Wir waren meist alleine am kilometerlangen, feinsandigen, tollen Strand. Der Bungalow ist sehr gut: Satelliten-TV, Wasserfalldusche... Alle sind sehr nett und und zuvorkommend. Beachten: Am besten gleich auf dem Weg vom Flughafen Frühstück besorgen, vor Ort gibt es nur Mittag- und Abendessen.
