Their words: Luxurious Hotel/Casino

Absolutely the worst hotel I have stayed in since the 80's. Since it is part of the Ceaser casino resort chain and with the price we paid for 1 night I expected Vegas quality. I was very disappointed to find the quality of of an hourly rate motel. The Casino offered 1 deck of smoke free gambling, but did not tell me I would have to either hold my breath or get cancer to get there. We also had non smoking room and the halls were supposed to be non smoking but you could smell the cigarettes everywhere. I have a horrible sore throat and a severe sinus headache still from all the smoke just trying to get to the non smoking areas! This place is definitely for smokers and they do not care in the least for those of us who cannot stand cigarette smoke. The smokers were even lighting up on the escalators, which I thought was against the law. Then when we tried to go to the Buffett restaurant they had 2 places to enter but none for just guests, you had to have a membership to the resort. We were not informed of that when we purchased the non refundable night or when we checked in. I have stayed at better hotels in Chicago that were cheaper and the staff informative, friendly and helpful. Only 3 of the casino workers and 1 bartender were friendly and helpful. I would never recommend this place, what a let down for my family.

Hi Robin, it's unfortunate that your stay with us wasn't as good as it could have been. While we offer non-smoking floors in our hotel, all of our guests use the same elevators. We will work on clarifying that non-members can enjoy all of our restaurants. While many of our guests are Total Rewards members, it's not required to dine anywhere, but members do receive a discount. We're pleased to hear that the casino staff you interacted with were friendly and helpful.

Not good!

Reserved a King bed. They gave us 2 queens with adjoining room. You could hear everything from next door. Bed sheets were stained and something was split down the side of nightstand and alarm clock and never cleaned up. Hotel staff was good and the room service food was great. Will not be going back.

Very nice

Pros: Quiet, clean and large
Cons: Need to find a way to cut down on the stale smoke smell
Location: It’s out in the middle of nowhere. Nice gas station up near town.
The hotel iis very nice, room was very large and well decorated, nice mattress etc. and clean. I stayed on a smoking floor, which was all that was left but I didn’t care. As others have said the smell of smoke is very strong. If you do t smoke it may bother you, so ask for a non smoking floor. The walk to the casino is long as mentioned by others but it is not horrible. If you are in a wheel chair or have a hard time walking it would be harder, but they do have a shutttle for most of the way. Once you reach the entrance to casino it resembles Ceasars palace in Vegas. You feel underground but you are not. It has a little shops for you to shop in. One piece do advice...if you do smoke, bring plenty with you if you go to the casino. They are $12 per pack, yes $12 per pack. Unbelievable. I felt like I took a trip to New York to buy cigs.

We're glad to hear you like the hotel rooms - they've recently been renovated. Hopefully if the shuttle wasn't available, you were able to take advantage of the moving sidewalks we offer, too.

OMG HORRIBLE

Upon arriving, we were told there were no non-smoking rooms. Even the elevators and lobby reeked of cigarette smoke. We asked for a refund and were told they would take an ozone machine to our room but it would take an hour. We asked a second time for a refund. The manager then agreed to put us in a no-smoking handicapped-access room. Upon entering the room, it too reeked of cigarettes and there was an ozone machine still plugged in on the floor. I returned to the front desk if the ozone machine and asked why this would be in a room that was no-smoking. They were very annoyed and agreed to move us onto the 6th floor which was supposedly a non-smoking floor. I asked why I was told they had no no-smoking rooms if there was actually a non-smoking floor and received no answer. We went to our room on the 6th floor and it smelled like a wet dog. Unfortunately we had a meeting there the following morning and decided to stay as there were no hotels for at least 8 miles. We had planned to relax but decided to go gamble and have enough drinks to allow a peaceful nights sleep on the beds which were horrendous. We quickly won $600 and had a FABULOUS dinner at the Jack Bunion Steakhouse where the food and the service were very good, thanks to Barbara our delightful server. Would definitely not suggest staying here unless you love Motel 6. We would recommend the steak house but there is not much point unless you are staying at the hotel.

Only smoking rooms available and told the alternative was - contact Expedia and move elsewhere No hot water - boilers were giving them issues. Not pleasant.

Hotel is OK but smoky slightly dirty staff as a little rude to a casino that's great that you would expect out of the normal
