Do not stay here

Room was not very clean, lights and shower did not work properly. Smelled like pee and perfume. Walls and ceiling falling apart.

Happy to be in a comfortable spot

Posted Jan 20, 2016
Pros: I had everything I needed and more at an affordable price, lower than all of the surrounding hotels.
Cons: I was very thankful.
Location: right on Route 66; Route 66 Museum across the street, cute town.
I reserved my room last minute over Expedia b/c couldn't find anything close to my price range in a few small towns to the east. The search saved me a night trying to rest in literally freezing temperatures, and, only had to drive 10 more miles or so west. I was overjoyed to have a very large, clean room, microwave, refrigerator, large screen tv, and plenty of heat. For me, this was a 5-star hotel, but know that the average American would probably view it as a 3? Oklahoma in general could use a few extra snow plows, but I was able to get into and out of the parking lot successfully and didn't skate too much. Even better, the hotel was across the street from the Route 66 museum. Could walk to museum and restaurant(s).

I left immediately upon seeing the room.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
This was the worst hotel I have ever even heard about, let alone booked. It was dirty, the sheets were stained, the bathrooms were disgusting. I walked in, put my bag down, looked at the sheets, saw the bathroom and left. I am currently in a dispute with expedia and the hotel to get my money back.

Wasn't bad for the price. The motel itself was ok and friendly, but the other tenants kinda bothered me. Overall was good. We were only there 1 night

Run down

Posted Apr 24, 2014
Hotel was run down (peeling paint, noisy pipes) which I can overlook and some people might even find quaint if you're into old fashioned stuff/antiques. Bed was comfortable. Room was spacious but poorly stocked (couple of towels, no Kleenex) and VERY dusty. I have a fierce dust allergy and had to take 2x my normal dose of antihistamine just to sleep and still woke up with puffy eyes and itchy throat. Pretty obvious the place hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. Can't comment on pool or breakfast. Appears to be family-operated.

Obvious Remodeling

Posted Jul 11, 2010
In process of renovation, this motel was working hard to make our stay enjoyable. Our room was fantastic and within walking distance of a lovely Italian Restaurant, just off the highway. Across from the Route 66 Museum, a fun way to spend a little time before dinner. Not an amazing continental breakfast, but as good as most other places we've stayed. I'd recommend it to cost conscious travellers and those who like to support folks who are reviving old businesses.
