The cabins are beautiful. After you walk up the 20 steps to get there. The cabins are on a hillside and there is absolutely NOTHING around it, but the highway on either side. There is a restaurant at the front of the property, take out only on Saturday and very pricey. The driveway into the property is VERY steep and treacherous.
We took our two dogs with us, but there really wasn’t anywhere to walk them on the property except the driveway and the parking lot of the restaurant.
As I said the cabins are beautiful, and one of the main draws for us was the fireplace inside. Well, ours didn’t work. When I called the manager, she said that she sent out emails to everyone renting there. We got no such email, and of we had, I would have canceled, as there wasn’t even a fire ring outside. The tv did not work, so the maintenance person switched it out for the one in the bedroom. We really didn’t plan on watching much tv, BUT unless we drive at least 15 minutes away or more, there was NOTHING to do. The refrigerator was so small that it didn’t even fit the meager cold things we brought. Oh, and there were what I’m assuming were wood roaches. I know, we were out in the woods, and there were traps in the cabins.
Anyway, when I called about the tv and fire place, the manager gave me no recourse. Didn’t offer to move us, or maybe even give us a discount on the cabin. Nothing, but an I’m sorry, and the thing about the email. The 2nd day we were there, I called and asked to be put into an empty cabin, and after checking on a reservation, e were permitted to move.
We didn’t let any of this ruin our weekend. The dogs were the best behaved ever, and we found things to do. The hot tub was nice, as well as the sauna. We won’t ever go there again, but we made the best of it.
