Nice relief after a long day drivingPosted Jun 23, 2015
We were greeted by the friendly helpful staff upon our arrival. When we realized we needed another bed they got us a rollaway very quickly. Rooms were clean.

Pros: Liked the location with the view of the lake and marsh. Liked the indoor pool.
Cons: Bathroom could definitely be cleaner. Toilet needed a scrubbing. Needs updating. Our room down the hall from pool but could still smell the chlorine.
Location: We loved Ellensburg! Lots of restaurants to choose from as well as a very nice Safeway. We drove around just to see the architecture.
Comfort Inn was right off I-90, saw it right away. Lots of parking by the entrance. The lady at the counter wasn't particularly friendly. She talked so fast it was hard to catch everything. The room was nice but well used. Bathroom not super clean. Air conditioning very nice! Nieces enjoyed the pool (although it was cold). Continental breakfast only until 9:30 am. Walls are thin, we could hear the people around us. The view was nice. Check out was unpleasant because of irate customer ahead of me. The manager explained over and over the policy of billing to him, but he wouldn't listen. I felt that the manager handled it all as professionally as she could. In the end he left in a huff and she ended up crying (not in front of us of course). She recovered and I finally checked out.

Gorgeous view!Posted May 8, 2015 on Hotels
I am very glad that we requested "the better view" room. Our room was facing the other side of the business and had a wonderful open view of mountains with windmills! This hotel seems updated overall and felt very clean. Bed was very comfortable and there were many outlets in the room (very important if all of your family have smartphones and tablets!). Only cons are swimming pool was too cold and breakfast place was pretty small. But with this price with comfort and this view, we will keep coming back to this hotel everytime we visit our son in college!

Comfort Inn - ComfortablePosted Apr 21, 2015 on Hotels
Noticed a cleaning smell when we first entered the hotel. Eventually it disappeared - all in all, a comfortable place to stay, maybe a little more expensive than it should be for what you get. Pool and hot tub were out of commission during our visit. We needed a wine opener and when I went to front desk, they said they've had that request many times, but didn't think they could help us. Breakfast was good, nice variety of things to try.
