Nice hotelPosted Nov 25, 2015
Location: We were on our way to Toronto. On earlier trips we did go to the Corning glass museum and tried a couple of excellant restaurants in downtown Corning.
Comfortable room. Clean. Nice staff. Excellent (but not excessive) breakfast. Popcorn in the lobby at night and cookies if you are early (before they are gone!). Use your GPS to get there. painted Post is growing and the motel is approached by mess of roads. We stopped there on our return trip also.

Don't believe the overall rating for this hotelPosted Nov 24, 2015
Cons: Every thing except the staff
The hotel is just near the highway ....the minute you walk in .....you know you have gone back to the future. The carpets are dirty ....old ...just like the entire place ...do not stay , unless if you have to

Adequate, close to interstate.Posted Oct 26, 2015
Pros: Staff friendliness, good breakfast and available coffee and snacks.
Cons: Bathroom was very old and looked 'tired'. Sink needed to be replaced.
Location: Stayed over night only. Close to interstate.
Spent one night enroute back to Canada. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Clean, fairly comfortable bed but bathroom needs improvement. Sink needed to be replaced (lost its glaze, especially around the water drain outlet). Breakfast was good...choice of both hot and cold. Coffee and snacks available to guests. No fruit provided.

easy on/off hwy, near Corning Glass MuseumPosted Oct 16, 2015
Pros: Nothing really stands out, but NOT having any problems with the room is more than I can say for many other motels where I have stayed.
Cons: Adding a key reader to the side doors would be nice.
Location: Close to Corning Glass Museum. Lots of fishing and hiking nearby. A good place for "leaf peeping" during the fall.
Spent 2 nights visiting relatives. O.K. breakfast was included. The usual "continental" stuff, with a couple of hot items. No other way to enter other than the lobby. The side doors are for exit only. Front desk very pleasant and helpful. They recommended a very good restaurant, "The Central", which had excellent food and friendly service.

Overall a pleasant stay. The location is fantastic with beautiful mountain views. Breakfast was Good for a Continental variety (Sausage, French Toast etc). Room was clean and adequate with microwave and fridge provided. Will recommend to everyone if you're visiting Corning or Watkins Glen.

Overnight in Painted Post, NY.Posted Sep 21, 2015
We stayed at this hotel after flying in to the local airport later in the evening. When we got to the hotel, our room was ready and the attendant at the front desk was smiling at us. She offered us some cheese and crackers that they had out as well as a fresh cookie from the counter. When I asked about a place to get a meal, she offered a list of local restaurants and let me know which ones would deliver. She then asked about the type of food we may be interested in and offered a suggestion for one that she liked personally. She was pleasant, smiling and very courteous while we were at the counter and when I came back later to ask another question. She went above the "usual" front desk clerk to make sure that we had what we wanted before going back to her post. The room was clean and neat, the facilities were well-kept and the service was great during our stay.

Don't waste your money.Posted Sep 7, 2015
First let me start on a positive, the women who check me in the first day was very sweet, that's all for the positive. the bathroom. Hair all over the floor and the sink they're were strains in the sink that I have no idea what they were. the room smelled, it was hot, dirty and on my second day there was bugs crawling on my sheets and my blanket I left with no refund just checked out and went across the street to the Hampton Inn. Do not waste your money staying here. no I did not ask for a manager, no I did not ask for a refund I just wanted it out. I have no idea what the bugs were I'm not saying they were bed bugs but I wasn't taking a chance I should be asking Econo Lodge or Expedia to refund my entire trip, since it cost me double to go across the street and stay for a two day trip. I should have left on my first night but after a six hour drive I had no idea where to go and it was too tired. My opinion stay at the Hampton it's less than two seconds away from this place. Lesson learned don't try to save money on comfort. Econo Lodge you should be ashamed and you should take serious effort to change your hotel.

Pleasant pet-friendly hotel with extrasPosted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: Very helpful staff, pet friendly, great breakfast and snacks included, well located for touring the Finger Lakes and Watkins Glen.
Cons: New televisions in every room, but channels not yet set and no guide for channel numbers, though that will be corrected soon, I'm sure.
Location: Corning, Watkins Glen, Finger Lakes
The hotel staff was very welcoming, made us feel at home, helped with all our questions

Good deal for cheap stayPosted Aug 25, 2015 on Hotels
The stay was just a layover while traveling through so I wasn't looking for much. There are some smoking rooms so there is that smell of smoke through out the building however faint at times. The breakfast was much larger then most continental breakfast but not very friendly to gluten sensitive folks. Regular platter of cheese in entry area was nice. For the price not a bad deal.
