St George

Posted Sep 9, 2017
Pros: nothing
Cons: More information in room has how to operated all the items in the rooms and number to call incase help. Safety notice to help guest. More transport
Location: Isolated and no local transport. Only 1 shuttle bus in morning.
Staff where not heplful with any queries put forward such as local attraction, no price list for local activities, no instruction in rooms to help with using Hob, oven and air condition units or any safety notice . On the first night staff spoke very little English and didn't have much information, all I was told is see the reception in morning. In morning the reception help was not helpful and had to ask him to come to room to show hob operated, air condition controller need new battery and television was in russian. No smoke alarm either in apartment. Long walk to reception to get help and no telephone in rooms to call reception. Isolated resort with no links to local transport, taxi is expensive. more shuttle bus required preferably hourly

GREAT VILLA, QUIET LOCATION

Posted Sep 8, 2017
Pros: Peaceful and quiet. Villa had own small pool but across road there were another two large pools plus an indoor pool.
Cons: Breakfast and Dinner selection and quality.
Location: I had hired a car which you need in this resort.
Excellent!! Villa with free wifi, air con etc etc lovely. I however should only have booked self catering instead of All inclusive as I did not get value for money as the selection of food was very limited and poor only went to breakfast once and when down only twice for dinner only to have a soup and came away buying a pizza. ~Which is a pity as the lunch all inclusive menu which is freshly made is excellent baked potatoes, kebabs, toasties, omelette's it is a pity they did not put much effort into the breakfast and dinners options. The staff were friendly and the cleanliness was A1. Would go back again but with the self catering option.

Nice place, clean good facilities , helpful staff

Posted Jul 8, 2017
Pros: not too busy , so could always get a sun bed
Cons: small mini market could be so much better
Location: good location , fairly cheap taxis @ € 15 to get to Paphos Harbour & Coral Bay
decent location with great sea views- check in was a bit chaotic due to lack of staff - but vast majority of staff were great & tried to be helpful - limited food & beverage offer -

Pleasant hotel, nice pool, park and food.

Posted Jul 7, 2017
Pleasant stay, friendly staff. Has a good size pool, play area for kids. Rooms are a really good size with good out door space! Location is a slight problem, it's on top of a big hill in Emba village which isn't close to anything! A car is a Must!! Hotel has small shop but cnt buy much in it just basics, ice cream, sun cream etc. Rooms are modern, clean and air conditioned. Has a small gym, jacuzzi and sauna onsite in basement. Nice views, quiet place no evening entertainment either so wil need to go out for food and for something to do at night.

Good value few bits let it down

Posted May 21, 2017 on Hotels
The appartments are OK, pretty clean and tidy and seem faiely new. The aircon units smell bad and when looking inside there is a stack of dust and clearly never cleaned since installed. There are some frustating points. The apprentmenta electric runs on the key so when you lock and leave the electric goes out (including the washing machine and fridge) some very poor thought there. You need a car thankfully we already knew this but its a good hour walk into paphos. Generally is good value to be fair and if like us you wanted a base for a cheap get away its good value. But having had villas in cyprus before these are much nicer.

May be OK when finished and properly staffed.

The resort is at best 1/3 complete. Hundreds of unfinished rooms /apartments/villas make it feel a bit like a ghost town. The organisation is terrible. It took two days and multiple complaints to secure something to dry our clothes on. An airer is supposed to be supplied. It took stern words to the manager before one was supplied. Worse still, it took three days to successfully book a massage. The Mini-Mart is unattended so if you want to purchase anything you need to find someone to come and serve. The spa facilities are unfinished as is the indoor pool. On the upside, it was cheap but don't expect good service or hotel like efficiency.

Nice quiet place for an early spring break

Posted May 14, 2017
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was of a good quality. The whole resort was kept clean and tidy.
Cons: The equipment in the kitchen was a bit limited ie. no microwave, no sharp knives for preparing food. The shop on site had very limited supplies.
Location: The resort is situated high on a hill side over looking Pathos and the sea. Pathos has a lot of archialogical sites. The mosaics are worth seeing.
Stayed in late April. The weather was comfortable for both playing golf and sitting around the pool. Appart from 2 cloudy days it was wall to wall sun shine with temperatures in the low to mid 20s. ( a lot hotter in the sun ). If you wish to travel around while there I would recommend a car hire as the resort a little remote. Having said that Pathos is only a few miles away with free parking at the port close to the archialogical sites. The port is very touristy the restaurants were a bit pricey and the quality of food was only ok. Alea golf course is an excellent course and only a 20 min drive and not to expensive if you play twilight golf.

Quiet location great for day trips

Posted Apr 30, 2017
Hotel is great location for day trips to Pafos, Coral Bay and the Akama region. A lot of unfinished works such as unpainted surfaces in heated pool area. The rest of the common areas were comfortable enough but seemed haphazardly decorated. Sadly the breakfast buffet is quite boring (same food every day) and the coffee/tea provided was unpalatable. The staff were rather unprofessional and playing video games loudly at reception while we checked in and a few other times while we were in the lobby. The wifi is pretty poor quality but was enough to check emails on e or twice a day. The studio room was quite large with a beautiful balcony facing the sea. The kitchen had good appliances (no microwave) but lacked more than basic utensils and dishwashing equipment (no sponges or detergents, had to go buy our own). One small bar of soap provided for the entire week with no other toiletries. Housekeeping staff came Mon/Wed/Fri to the unit but really only to replace loo roll, tidy the bed and replace towels (floors felt quite gritty since they hadn't washed them through the week).
