Friendly staff, clean rooms and nearby restaurants

Pros: Close to many things that we wanted to do. Met relatives closeby
Cons: The hotel rooms are too small. We liked the hotel but the rooms are narrow and bathroom tiny
Location: Liked the location, great restaurants nearby
We had a great time. Near our relatives in Oakland and close to Berkley where our grandson had a soccer game. Enjoyed our time there.

Nice, contemporary hotel in a great location.

Pros: It is conveniently located near shopping centers and restaurants.
Cons: My only complaint was that the carpet probably needed to be replaced or deep cleaned, there was a faint odor.

Terrible Staff Members Not Recommended

I booked a single king bed over a month ago, but was assigned to a single double bed when I arrived. The staff didn't explain anything until I went back to the front-desk to ask. They told me that the single kind bedroom was sold out and it sounded like that I was lucky to even get a room to stay. Terrible front-desk service, lack of the professional service manner. They tend to over sell their room during weekends, so don't stay their during weekends.

Good area close to shops and restaurants .

Pros: The location good size rooms comfy beds and quiet.
Cons: For us a larger pool .
Easy to find hotel only downside for us was the small pool.the location,

I needed to bop around between Berkeley, Emeryville, and San Francisco so the location was super convenient.

Title says it all. The rest of the look, feel and service of this hotel could've been had at hotels at fraction of this price. Not staying again.

Great Location

Perfect Hotel for exploring the area and San Fran. Staff were extremely polite. Did not have to worry about parking and a gas station was right across the street for a quick fill up before we left.

Good hotel

Everything was good expect for a few things, when I rented a room it said it came with a view, there was no view! The bathroom shower hose was loose and made a big mess but overall everything else was good!

Rude Front Desk Employees

The front desk employees were very rude. When we checked in, they wrongly used the guest's middle name to register one of the 3 rooms. When we went to reconfirm the extended stay from 6/3 to 6/5 which we had prepaid to Hotels.com, the front desk Kiki insisted there was nothing reserved, she even said she did not have the said guest stayed in the hotel currently. Kiki said to us rudely that "how many times do I need to tell you that?" Later a man James came and found out their mistake of registered the room by the middle name. Another incident was that they charged me twice of $291.72 to my credit card after I checked out. I called the hotel, a front desk woman Jane said to me that it was the $50 guarantee deposit for 3 rooms. I told her that I never heard of that, we had no incidental charges when we checked out, they should not charged anything to my credit card. I asked her to proceed the refund or I would complain because we prepaid all room charges to Hotels.com. Jane said to me in a very rude tone: "Go ahead, make sure you have my name spelled right J-A-N-E" I called the hotel immediately again and asked to speak with the accounts receivable in the accounting department. A lady reviewed and admitted that the front desk employee did not applied the room rate correctly to Hotels.com. She immediately processed the refund to my credit card. We have business travelling always, this hotel front desk service was the worst we had.
