Relaxed friendly atmosphere and good food. Quirky accommodation and quiet position
Quiet location, lovely rooms. Good choice of beer, wine and spirits in the bar. Also wide choice of bar food which was excellent and plentiful. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant which had a standard selection of cold and hot food; we didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening so can't comment ...
Warm welcome, spotlessly clean, comfortable room, roomy en suite, very enjoyable breakfast. Have stayed before and will stay again. A real find. Recommended unreservedly.
I instantly felt at home and relaxed as soon as I walked in the door, a beautiful cosy cottage with everything you could possibly need, neatly tucked away in cupboards. Very peaceful, lovely to see the horses close to the windows. Pretty walks nearby, ideal for me. Would highly recommend.
Spending some time at Empire Theatre is one of those things you won't forget too soon.
It's located in Consett, 95 miles from Manchester. It makes for a great adventure.
Travelers who are in need of somewhere to stay close to Empire Theatre have one option, and that is The Old Mill Knitsley, 2 miles away.
If you're the kind of traveler who enjoys small pleasures like elegant linens and high-quality furnishings, reserve a room at one of the nearby high-end hotels. We recommend the Anchor Inn. The Old Post Office is another place where you can get some sleep in supreme style.
Hardly any tourists can survive a jam-packed day of sightseeing without a pick-me-up. Maddison's is a top rest spot because it is near Empire Theatre. An excellent option for anyone craving heartier fare is No 1 Pizza. This restaurant is also just around the corner. And finally, go to The Freemasons Arms. Have a drink and chat with your buddies.
