Staff is Outstanding!!!Posted Nov 9, 2015
Pros: Clean dog friendly rooms and outstanding customer service.
Cons: The furnishings need a bit of help.
Location: Conveniently located right off Route 95 in Emporia VA, everything a traveler could need is located near the hotel.
My husband and I stop here regularly when traveling south with our dog. By the time we check in, we have usually been driving for twelve hours. It is always a pleasure (and a relief!) to see this particular Country Inn & Suites as our destination. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, although the physical condition of our room this trip looked a bit tired. Now the awesome part - about an hour after we checked out and were on the road, I discovered I had left my pillow in the room. The sympathetic front desk clerk suggested I call the following day and speak to the manager, who was helpfully referred the problem to housekeeping. She said that if the pillow were found, someone would call. Sure enough, my phone rang that afternoon, and the current front desk clerk, Jennifer, reported the pillow had been found and made arrangements for UPS to pick it up and deliver it to my home. The package arrived two days later. I can truly say I have never experienced such outstanding customer service!!!!! I will continue to stay at the Emporia Country Inn & Suites and recommend it to anyone who asks for a hotel referral along Interstate 95.

Nice spacious room but very poor lighting, especially in the bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. They get an A+ rating!

Excellent room, comfortable bed! The only thing I didn't like was that we were on the first floor and there was a party in the conference room that lasted well past midnight. Sleepless night!

Ok for a one night stop.!Posted Aug 31, 2015
Hotel was ok. The head of housekeeping seems to run the place. She was the only one who knew what was going on. She was at the front desk, cleaning the lobby, and helping guests. She needs a promotion. Hot tub/ spa was not working. Only ice machine was on the first floor, and breakfast was passable. There was a hole in the floor under the rug in the hall. Room was ok. Bed comfortable. We were there for one night so it was ok. Was in a country inns in rocky mount, NC that surpassed this one.
