Everything was nice

We only stayed one night. On the second floor. Didnt have a view of the beach but still had a very nice balcony view. Everything was perfect in the room. We had an issue with the bath tub, when we showered the water didnt drain fast enough. But other than that everything was good. The continental breakfast was alot better than most. There was quite a variety of items to choose from.

I mean “it’s a best western”...

Noisy room....needs more insulation from the freeway noise outside.

I would like to personally apologize for the series of unfortunate incidences that you experienced during your stay with us. We continually try to do our very best for all of our guests, but unfortunately, sometimes we do fail. Nice hotel, close to the beach

Nice hotel, nice location, the room had ocean view and that was nice. Close to everything. I'd recommend this hotel for your stay.

Walk on the Beach

Pros: We took a mini suite, and this allowed my husband to watch tv without disturbing me.
We love this hotel for its proximity to the beach! We had a great walk along the water! Also, the breakfast is good, with a hot dish included, as well as pastries and cereal. Nice place to stay!

Great hotel for price. Lovely pool area and enjoyed breakfast by the pool each morning. Good spread of food. Close to beach and restaurants.

Happy with the accommodation

Room was a good nice, a little dated but comfortable, clean and the facilities were good. The hotel was quiet during our stay (November) so noise was not an issue. Conveniently located near highway which may be an issue for some people with background hum, but I didn’t find it annoying. Your also very close to a great beach and town for food. I would stay there again.

Ideal location ocean view

Great location in North county San Diego just blocks from a favorite beach (Moonlight) and walkable neighborhood with excellent restaurant and bar scene, as well as terrific ice cream at Handels. Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Staff were helpful and responsive. Wonderful balcony with ocean view!

Standard hotel

Pros: Quality is consistent.
Cons: Front desk service. Knowledge of internet access codes. I recommend printing the code and placing it somewhere in the front desk area.
Location: Walk on the beach, surfing, pretty good restaurants.
We stayed at this hotel for business reasons. It is located close to downtown Encinitas and the view of the beach from our balcony was great. For our purposes, it was very adequate. We tried to print a report needed for a meeting, but there was not sufficient help at the front desk. In addition, the staff there did not know the internet access code. That was very frustrating. We were unable to print the needed information at the hotel.

Everything was perfect! The beds, the room, the breakfast, the location, everything. There is also a huge health oriented grocery store across the street. We will definitely be back! ❤️

Don't stay here. Horrible customer service.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. First of all, we booked a Pet Friendly room. When we arrived, they told us that we didn't book a pet friendly room (although my confirmation email clearly stated we did) and that we would have to pay a $250 cleaning fee for staying in a regular room. Expedia was kind enough to reverse those charges (after an hour on the phone). The second day we were there, it was about 90 degrees outside and we walked into the lobby and asked the guy at the front desk if there were any plastic cups so we could get some of the water that were in 2 large water dispensers. The guy (Vijays) rolled his eyes, slammed down a stack of cups and walked away. We were shocked. After that, we walked to our room to get ready for the evening and our shower broke. We called the front desk and Vijays told us it was our problem and he would see if he could move us to a smaller room (but without compensation). We later found out that Vijays is the son of the owner of the hotel and he can do no wrong. There have been several other complaints about him and how he treats guests. I was shocked that we were treated with such disrespect. I feel bad for anyone that has to work with Vijays. I will NEVER stay here again.
