Nice accommodations and caring staff

My husband and I needed an overnight get away after experiencing hurricane Harvey. The front desk rep, Nichelle Green showed us nothing but pure hospitality and ensured that we were comfortable. We had a wonderful stay because of her!

Horrible Place to Stay

There was a good inch or more of space under the door into the hall, do I need to say more about the noise? I could also hear people in the next room talking, clear as day, while I was in the bathroom! During the night a man was yelling, cussing in the hall for a good 15 mins and then again early in the morning. The lady at the front desk wouldn't take my Marriott rewards number because she said it was a waste of time since I had booked through Expedia! I was very unhappy.

Birthday weekend get away!

Pros: Location is great. Lobby & rooms are clean. Staff (desk, housekeeping & room service) are very friendly & helpful. Room service was very timely.
Cons: Room doors could be closer to the floor (or add door sweeps) to drown out hallway noise.
Location: Located along I-10 on the East side of freeway. Good freeway access to wherever you want to go.
Enjoyed a weekend get away for my birthday with my honey. We enjoyed our time relaxing. We usually go to a more expensive place but this hotel is just as nice at a better price & in a good location. Derek restaurant has really good food (not just because my honey's name is similarly spelled 😊 ) but it's really good. Get there early to get a good parking space in the lot otherwise there's parking in the structure in the back.

Is this Marriott?

My trip to Huston was amazing but the hotel service was awful. I have been to many Marriott chains but this one does not deserve that name. I left my room in the morning and came back to an unclean room, no apologies but was moved to room 725 from 717. The breakfast server that Sunday morning was the rudest ever.... horrible place
