Is the cockroach extra?

I travel for business 30 weeks a year. I teach courses on responding to emergencys involving hazardous materials.I booked into Enfield inn and my first two nights were just sleep, I went in at one or two am and passed out only to be back up at day break. Finally I get a night to rest and be comfortable on Tue. I turned on the heat and went to take a sbower, it wasnt all that warm but I can deal till I meet the first photo. He and his pals were everywhere! Soon as the room warmed up they crawled out of the sprinkler head! As I looked I noticed the smoke detector isnt lit. Its just hanging. Tried to call the desk no answer. So as it was quite late I went to bed so I could leave early, when I went at 0715 to drop my key and have breakfast I realized no breakfast exsists. In fact compair the photo I took to the one on Expedia and you will see its a different room. Again I turned to look for manager and no one was found. When I advised Kaya at Expedia I was told nothing could be done and I run the risk of having my account closed. I have complained twice in five years, about safety violations I guess it really is bottom line not client safety with Expedia.

Dear Guest, We would like to respond to your concern as follows : To begin with , the image you have uploaded is that of the beetle, we contacted pest control who confirmed that it is indeed a beetle. We do try our best to keep insects and pest at the bay but given the fact that our motel is located near the woods , it is possible for them to enter the rooms if the doors or windows are left open. Furthermore, we checked our cal records and found no call history internally or externally around mention time , Responding to your query about the smoke detector system , it is hardwired and centrally connected .Which means it will function even if the batteries fail and this was confirmed after checking the room.We do not advertise breakfast and this can be looked into by checking your reservation , Through our surveillance system we noticed you entered the office twice once to drop off the key and later to take a picture of the breakfast area. both times , neither did you wait for the manager for over 30 seconds , not use the office phone placed on the counter to call and alert the manager that is placed there for that very purpose and it is mentioned at the desk. We constantly work hard towards the safety and security of our guests. Our motel is equipped with UHD Surveillance system, fir and smoke equipment's that are regularly inspected, as well as pest control contracts. We hope that we have addressed your concerns and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Very nice for the weather that we had while we were there. Handicap parking was very helpful....

Horrible. Front desk gave the wrong keys twice. I stood outside freezing waiting. Shower rod was coming out the wall.

Room smelled like cigarettes

Cons: Cleanliness
Non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes; bathroom was not clean, especially the toilet. Hallways were dirty, pillows were flat. Learned a lesson that you get what you pay for

The staff here are always very friendly and personable. They try their best to be accommodating with whatever you request. I have stayed here upwards of 10 Times now and never have experienced a problem.

Nothing fancy at all. Small rooms. Coffee and juice...toast...Drakes cakes and cereal for "breakfast." I'd you're still in your room when housekeeping comes, your room will not be made up and you won't get fresh towels. However, for the money, it was clean and comfortable enough. Perfect if you're looking for inexpensive lodging.

It was an alright hotel for the price- especially considering how close it is to 6 flags. Bed and pillows left back and neck sore- but if that's all I have to complain about for a cheap hotel stay- then that's alright.

One Special Night

Pros: The cost was very reasonable.
Cons: Repair broken fixtures.

This was to be our special night following our wedding. Although the bed was very comfortable and the furniture looked OK, the room appeared to have been "ridden hard and put away wet" too many times. There was exposed wiring in the ceiling and in the bathroom next to the sink. The sink did not have a stopper so it would not hold water.
