Why is smoking STILL allowed in some hotels?!!

In my hurry to book a room last minute from the road, I missed that the room was a smoking room. Having driven all day, we were exhausted & looking forward to a restful night. We were soooo disappointed to discover that the non refundable room we had was a smoking room. Yuck!!!

Thank you for selecting the Hampton Inn-Enfield. We do have four smoking rooms at our property which are clearly indicated as a Smoking King Room on the Hilton site. These rooms are actually in high demand. We always will provide our guests with the room type they booked. When we are sold out, we can not change a smoking room to a non smoking room. If we are not sold out we will always accommodate a change to a non smoking room when we have it available. Richard Austermann General Manager

Nice hotel close to shopping

Pros: Staff was friendly and breakfast was good
Cons: Bed could have been a little more comfy but I don't sleep well in hotels. My daughter slept like a log.
Location: plenty of shopping if need be and places to eat. Long Horn steak house in the same parking lot so we walked to dinner.
I was in town to visit my daughter at a local college and location was just fine. A short ride to WNE with plenty of places to get something to eat.

Location: Six Flags and shopping, easy to find
Great, lots of breakfast options, highly recommend

Pros: Staff very helpful
Cons: AC very noisy and hotel could use some updating
Requested infant crib and refrigerator for breast milk. Both were in room on arrival.

Relaxation Getaway

Pros: The staff was extremely helpful and kind.
Cons: The cleaning people were a little loud while cleaning the rooms around ours, but they do a great job and are very friendly.
Location: Tons of shops and restaurants around this location.
This hotel was immaculate! Everything was extremely clean and tidy. The shower was very relaxing and had great water pressure. It was a very comfortable stay. True luxury, for a reasonable price!

The free breakfasts were awesome. No reason to leave hungry from there. There were so many options to pick from. Hot breakfast had different kinds of eggs each of the three days we were there. One day with bacon, one with sausage, and one with home fries. Also make your own belgian waffles. I counted seven varieties of cereals, including hot oatmeal. Bagels, bread to toast, muffins, danish and fresh fruit and yogurt. Coffee and juice. Two things we did not like was there were no refrigerator in our room and the curtains could not be drawn so you could see street lights. We were on fourth floor but still would have liked to be able to have curtains that could be drawn.

We have over 40 items on the free breakfast buffet. I apologize there was not a refrigerator in the room. Unfortunately this hotel was not designed to have refrigerators and microwaves. We did purchase 20 refrigerators and microwaves that we can place in rooms on a first come first serve basis. Please check with the front desk for availability. We do have black out drapes in all guest rooms. The first set of drapes is decorative and do not close. Next, we have sheers with wands to open and close them. Bad communication.

I had to have 2 separate reservations for 2 consecutive nights due to a change in plans. I asked at least 4 times that my room be turned over as I was staying a second night. I asked the front desk twice. The maid and the man directing the maids. No one did our room. At night I asked for towels and trash bags and received 2 towels and no trash bags. I had to ask 3 times. We liked the hotel and location but it is very concerning that multiple staff could not get this right!

We stay here when visiting family in Longmeadow

Front desk was terrific, room clean, accessible shower --that we just happened to have; we did not need an accessible room-- great. (For accessibility, I am not sure whether the sink was fully wheelchair accessible, so perhaps we just happened to have a nice accessible-type shower.) Breakfast coffee very nice. Terrific location for what we needed in Longmeadow.
