"A relaxing place to stay"
Just spent a few days at the Langstone, very pleasant, lovely sea view from the room and a balcony. Food was good, loved the plastic bowl and cutlery set that was provided at meal times for my grandson. Also a great indoor playroom for the little ones. Nice indoor and outdoor pools and separate ones for toddlers. A variety of different lounges to relax or eat in. Staff were very helpful, room service was good too.

"A wonderful tranquil oasis but...."
I have been coming to Dartington for about 40 years. It's a wonderful place to relax, recharge your batteries and explore the surrounding area. Unfortunately this time was a little disappointing due to the poor breakfasts, indifferent waiting staff, expensive dinner menu with limited choice and the ugliest bar which totally ruins the historical building.

Pocket Guide: United Kingdom English Riviera Classic British Hotels

The Riviera comprises three main towns: Torquay is the most fashionable and popular with a luxury marina, good beaches, and family attractions including a famous Model Village and the Kent’s Cavern. Paignton is a more traditional English resort, boasting a superb zoo. Brixham is not only a picturesque fishing harbour but one of Britain's busiest fishing ports. The adjacent area, the South Hams, is known as one of the prettiest in England.
