Elevator was broken, which was a severe inconvenience being that I am physically disabled. The bathroom fan was extremely noisy and there was very little personal hygiene items provided. The Internet did not work and the TV channel selection was very poor and cumbersome.

This property was removed from Google Maps so that it could no longer been seen or reviewed by customers. Appears to be taken over by Best Western but is still branded as “Solstice Inn” Facilities are in a state of disrepair. WiFi information provided by staff was not working. Carpets in common areas were not vacuumed. Elevator was not working. Water damage on room windows. Broken glass in parking lot. Live adult bed bug was found on clothing that was on the floor, even after bringing it to the manager alive in a tissue, staff did not provide us a new room until Expedia intervened. We were not compensated. I booked this room last minute for the eclipse and had to pay a lot, that’s my fault, but having just stayed at a four star hotel in Boston, it was shocking to me.

My Mom and I came for the eclipse and had a pleasant stay! Even got a welcome bag with viewing glasses and snacks. Room felt safe, all locks worked perfectly. Beds clean and room smelled great, with plenty of towels. Tv worked perfectly as did the wifi, which I see others have complained about. Would stay here again. I do have to mention though, other reviews are correct in that the ice makers are out of order, plus the gym and pool aren’t available. The refrigerator in our room, well the light turned on but it was never cold. Seems to have something to do with the crack in the bottom of the fridge, which matches the location of the huge hole in the cabinet door holding the fridge. Bathroom floor could have been cleaner, and our toilet wasn’t wiped off. Rooms quiet when others in their rooms, otherwise you could hear noise in the hallways. We didn’t stay for breakfast so cannot speak for it. Luggage cart was falling apart and needs replaced, as do the windows (caulking literally hanging from the outside of our window, and the insides of the windows aren’t clean). I’m glad to see that renovations are being made here, as I can sense that the ownership cares but just needs to get some things tidied up.

Was there for the solar eclipse and it was good stay. The only problem if you could call it that was the television. The channels didn’t match the guide and there were no traditional networks available, ie ABC CBS. It was odd. The property had restaurants that were walkable close. The offered breakfast was good, the standard fare.

They were in the middle of a remodel, or I would have given property details a 5 star. It was cluttered some, bc of the remodel. Not their fault. The room we stayed in was gorgeous and comfy.

A sad state of affairs
The Solstice was closed and we were bumped to the Best Western across the street where we found out that the manager had just quit and there were no housekeeping staff that weekend nor did the kitchen staff show up for Saturday morning. We had to be switched to a different room because our original room was not cleaned. In the end and for our inconvenience we were only charged for 1 night. I really feel that the staff did they're best and tried they're hardest considering what they were left with.

on google app when entering location it is permanently closed yet owner told that it is open and all is OK , but it was not .Most amenities are closed , breakfast is almost none existing . Cold cereal , lousy coffee , looks like place will be getting ready for renovation. We left after one night

WIFI was non-existant here. It just never worked. The TV depends on wifi too, so basically there is no TV as well. Breakfast was terrible. It might as well be not there. For the price we paid, we expected a decent breakfast and stable wifi connection. Very disappointed.

As me and my husband where going to our room we noticed a smell coming from the hallway which reminded us of marijuana. Upon entering our room we were happy with the space. There were no towels for us and we had to go to the front desk to ask. When I went to take a shower I noticed there was hair all over the shower. Because I was so super tired and it was late I cleaned the shower before I continued. The curtains had small holes in them and wouldn’t close properly. The latch on the door looked like it was ready to fall off !! The couch looked like it was scratched up from some kind of animal. The breakfast was nothing special just coffee, cereal, and some bagels and sliced bread. There were men who would hang outside the front of the lobby they would smoke and drink which made it uncomfortable to walk past them. The decor was all mismatched. Me and my husband both felt this hotel was the worst place we have ever stayed at.

This property was suitable for our needs. Ther was coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the morning. That was a nice bonus. Not pet free. It was too bad the front desk was too busy on there cell phone to even thank us for staying or even wish us a good day.

Bathroom door was just a sliding piece of glass that had no latch to keep it closed. Couch made loud noise every time we sat down. Volume button on remote did not work and the WiFi was terrible. There was also a very strong weed smell in the hallway that was bothering my young son. The workers were very friendly and got us checked in and out in a timely manner. It wasn’t our worse experience but it could definitely use some updating and repairs.

There were cobwebs on the ceiling/wall. The bathroom door did not shut all the way. The shower appeared dirty (hair on the edge and looked dingy). The staff was nice and courteous. The breakfast was dismal. It looked like the room was at the halfway point of being remodeled.

Renovation hell
The hotel is being renovated and it seems they need to make sure the rooms are cleaned and prepared for guests. Front desk was an elderly gentleman and it seems to be an issue when I asked why the tv was not working. Rooms were only available on the first floor no ice. Breakfast everything was frozen. Cream cheese, butter. Not worth eating. Would not recommend.

I'm pretty sure that I reserved 2 rooms. The hotel only had one reservation when we arrived. Luckily, they did have another room available. Sliding bathroom door did not work properly. Toilet was extremely loud when it flushed.

Property seems like it's stuck in a transition of ownership. Property was clean. Semi updated but stuck in between old and new. Curious where the place will be in a year... Quite good or very not so good.. Time will tell
