Room and staff were nice, however...

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Location: The hotel is close to many businesses and restaurants. Also not far from casino. They also have a shuttle.
This was a VERY noisy hotel. Children running up and down the halls at all hours and adults were loud and using profanity. There was absolutely no peace and quiet here. The staff was nice and room was clean but I don't think I would return.

Thank you for your review, we are anxiously awaiting our next renovation as well. Recently we got a new lock system over the entire hotel and some of the doors have been cracked since the installation, we are replacing these doors as we come across them. I will make sure to have maintenance is checking our carpets better and making necessary repairs that you have mentioned. I hope that you will give us another chance to make a better impression on your next trip to the Erie area.

Pros: Open Room
Cons: Covers on the Bed.
If the bed had been a little more comfortable/Covers weren't the greatest..... One of the best I have stayed at. Thanks

Dave, Thank you for your comments, unfortunately Marriott mandates the bedding we have. However, if you are ever looking for a different blanket or something please call the front desk and we are happy to get you whatever we can to insure your comfort. Thanks again!

Is this a Marriott owned facility?

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Unsure if it can.
Did not feel welcome at this hotel. We always stay at a Residence Inn when we travel. This particular hotel doesn't compare to the others. Staff didn't seem friendly.

Loud

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Weekend was booked a month in advance which included two adults and two small children. Asked for a crib so clearly at least one child was smaller. (Also had to call to confirm a crib which never made its way to the hotel's attention.) Our room was right next to an exit door that slammed all day and night. Though this is more of a common courtesy issue, there should have at least been a sign saying to be respectful of others. There was also a dog in the hotel that barked for hours and well into quiet time. It was quiet obnoxious. Also, several altercations and reunions, each louder than the next, occurred in the hallway. Really rude. Woke the kids at times. During awake times, scared the kids. Breakfast was ok. Seating was terribly limited and the second morning we opted to go out for breakfast. We booked a room with a kitchenette that was well worth it. We had everything we needed. The rollout bed was like a sectional which created plenty of opportunities to slice open our legs and for our kids to fall into cracks, but it served it's purpose.

Perfect hotel for ladies shopping trip

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: Can't think of anything I didn't like.
Right off the highway and adjacent to Bob Evans and Boston's restaurants, with major shopping malls and outlets just a mile or so up the road. Hot breakfast with good variety and make-your-own waffles included in price, as is all day coffee (which was better than most hotel coffee offerings). We were caught in a snowstorm while there, and the hotel did a good job of keeping the parking lot and sidewalks plowed. Extremely pleasant staff! I would definitely stay there if I am in the area again.

Pleasant experience

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and helpful staff.
Cons: Cannot think of anything
Location: Splash Lagoon, Wineries, Presque Isle state Park. Many places to eat.
We have stayed at many Residence Inns before, but this one was exceptional. The room was clean and roomy. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We asked about the Local Wineries and received all the information we needed to visit four of them and taste the wines. We purchased several nice bottles. The social's at night were very nice also. Plenty of food and drink and also friendly staff to talk to. We highly recommend this property to anyone interested in staying in Erie. Also the Splash Lagoon is connected to the hotel. Although we do not have children, it would be a very nice place to consider if you are looking to go there.
