EU-standards meets Bavarian charm
Everything was perfect, I really enjoyed this beautiful hotel, which has so much Bavarian character and is super quiet and cozy with a home, sweet home atmosphere. The staff was super nice and I will be definitely coming back.

We had been letdown by the Grille hotel who told me they hadno reservation despite us having confirmaton from hotels com. We made an outside of hours. The owner was very helpful.

We have a winner!
The check in was Very friendly and the room clean and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel itself offered small cozy cornersto sit and relax, as well as 2 beautiful terraces. After a comfortable night I was curious about the breakfast, about which everyone had been raving. And indeed! A lot of choices and above all: no awful prefab fruit salad, but real freshly chopped fruit. As well as real scrambled eggs and not from a prefabricated mix. That combined with the service, comfort and price, makes it a winner for me. I will definitely come again

Worth It
Not a fancy place, and it is an old building, but it is well taken care of, they are friendly and very helpful, and the rooms are large, simple and comfortable. It is well worth the price. This is our second time there, and we will gladly stay there again.

Stayed at the Hotel Smart-Inn for a week whilst I visited the University. The hotel is not close to the university but is very close to several bus stops, a train stop and all the roads have excellent cycle paths so cycling is very safe.The room was very competitively priced, spacious and clean and breakfast was great.

Pleasant - adequate breakfast included. But the same thing every day. Beds could be improved for comfort and squeak. Location perfect- easy to get around.

Irene was a super hostess We were given our choice of rooms and help with luggage, copying papers and more. A gentleman and a young girl in the dining room were also very helpful. Room was comfortable and clean.

The comfort apartment worked perfectly for our family of four (although it would have been nice to have a few more kitchen supplies). The morning breakfast buffet was both delightful and reasonably priced.

The hotel is small and feels/looks like a family business. The room was rather basic in amenities, but extremely clean. The main drawback would be the very small TV mounted in a rather uncomfortable position. With fast free WiFi, acceptable breakfast, the deal was still great value for the money. I strongly recommend you book here.

If you traveling with the car, this is perfect hotel. Easy and free parking, staff is absolutely amazing, very clean and breakfast is great. A bit tiny place for breakfast but then again it could be described as cozy. If I travel again in this area, I will definitely stay there again.

This is a very nice, family operated hotel. Our room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good. We appreciated a nice variety of fresh fruits and vegetables (fresh made fruit salad, slices of watermelon, tomatoes, English cucumber sliced) in addition to the big varieties of meat/cheeses and hot items (sausages, different types of cooked eggs, etc.) The owner of the hotel is a very-very friendly person and is gladly helpful if there is an issue to be resolved. Even there was no parking available from the hotel (they have limited space for parking), there was no problem at all to find a free parking space on the street just several meters away from the hotel. Wi-Fi was ok. We had a very nice experience staying there. Would recommend this place for a stay without any hesitation.

Good value hotel
We stayed here as unable to get a reasonably priced hotel in Nuremberg as there was a convention on. We would usually opt for a higher rating hotel, however this hotel mainly used by business people was absolutely fine. On arrival we were shown a twin room but the following day we asked to change to a double and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast room was very cosy, well presented and a good variety of food available.

Outstanding value for money
We stayed 2 nights in Smart Inn and found it really good. The hotel is neat, clean and gives you all that you need. If you don't need a fancy big hotel with all ameneties and no character then go for this cosy, well maintained, family run comfortable hotel with all amenities as well in an awesome price. The buiding is typical German style and the owner is a wonderful gentleman who goes all out to make your stay comfortable. It has a breakfast area with a sufficient selection of hot and cold food. Nice sitting area like a patio for guests. A computer station for guests, wifi free and a free parking area opposite the road. We had a great time and will definitely recomend this hotel for anyone.

Like staying at a friend's house
We booked a family room and were surprised to get a huge room with way more room than we needed. The room had a full kitchen, spiral stairs to two small bedrooms upstairs, very large bathroom with a very large tub, a nice patio with a terrific view. The only problem was we had to carry our heavy bags up the stairs. Other than that, it was wonderful. Everyone that works there was incredibly courteous. If you're looking for modern, this isn't it, but if you're looking for comfort, this is a great place.

Not Bad For The Price...
The only thing is, is that it was Farther then 22 miles from Bamberg City Center it was more like 50 miles. Beds were comfy and Breakfast was just right to start your day.
