A good Budget-priced hotelPosted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: Convenient location for public transport, the food, the cleanliness, the internet. The price was very affordable.
Cons: The reception staff could try and be more friendly, and smile. The music was too intrusive and repetitive. The room badly needed a fridge.
Location: Buses pass the hotel very frequently, and taxis are fairly easy to find. I was there for work, so I don't know about tourist attractions yet.
I am from Australia and I stayed here for four nights while waiting for my long-term apartment to be available. For the money you pay, this is a good hotel. I could not fault the cleanliness of the room. The bed, though a little hard by western standards, was still quite comfortable. The food at each meal I had was of an excellent standard with good variety to choose from to suit most tastes, although if you are hoping for western-style food, forget it!Smoking is permitted everywhere, but that is normal in China, though hard for a non-smoking westerner to get used to, especially in the dining room. The young girls at reception were efficient and business-like, but I don't think friendliness was in their vocabulary, even in mandarin! However, the one young man who worked there was more pleasant, and even went out on the street to help me flag down a taxi one morning. The internet is available by wireless or ethernet, and is fast but not free. The hotel is situated on a very busy intersection - like most intersections in Zhengzhou! Traffic is horrendous, and you can expect traffic noise throughout the night, though it lessens in the early morning hours. The noise intrudes even with the windows closed, especially on the ground floor where I was. Another annoyance was the constant, repetitive, dreamy elevator music that was played all day from about 6:45 a.m. till about 10:45 p.m., loud enough in the corridor outside my room to be heard even over the traffic noise!

It's twenty minutes walk from the nearest metro station if you don't walk fast, but it's only two metro stops from the Zhengzhou Railway Station(the old one). The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, and so is the general environment. I saw the management guys checking things very carefully. It's good value for a budget hotel. The only problem was the wifi didn't work on my mobile when I was in the room and in the hotel restaurant.

JunJiang Inn ZhengzhouPosted Jun 21, 2011 on Hotels
Boa oportunidade!
