Boscolo

Posted Sep 20, 2017
Pros: Building
Cons: Faster hot water
Location: Great location for the trains and good restaurants
Fantastic looking Hotel, the staff were so helpful and friendly which made our staff very relaxing. One slight problem was we had to run the water for a while to get hot water, apparently it was because the room was further from the hot water tank. Otherwise, the room was spacious, quiet and very comfortable. New York Cafe and the accompanying music was very enjoyable.

Stunning hotel

Posted Sep 12, 2017
Pros: Everything.
Cons: I wouldn't change anything.
Location: We found the hop on and off city tour bus invaluable and stopped right outside the hotel.
Staff very courteous and helpful, particularly restaurant staff during the very busy breakfast period. I booked two exclusive rooms and requested one with twin beds, which the hotel provided. In hindsight I regret requesting twin beds as that room was not of the same standard as the other one.

beautiful building

Hotel biding is gorgeous. spotlessly clean rooms and very comfortable beds. excellent air conditioning. unfortunately staff serving in bar and at breakfast not up to same level. not rude just a bit disorganised and disinterested. drinks in bar very sub-par. breakfast service chaotic during busy times and not at all worth the price. location is not the best of the hotels in Budapest. if you eat and drink elsewhere then the hotel experience will be fantastic. would stay here again knowing that.

Beautiful, Comfortable, But Not in City Center

Posted Aug 28, 2017
Exactly as shown in the pictures, the hotel is in a beautiful building. The staff was accommodating, the room was spacious, the bed very comfortable (on the soft side) and the bathroom huge, with a separate shower and a tub. The shower door did not close sufficiently, and leaked water; but this was my only complaint. It is a 10 to 20-minutes brisk walk to the city center. It is on the same street as the Great Synagogue. The hotel is next to a subway station and only 2 stations from the center. However, if you have limited mobility, this hotel will not be the best choice unless you will take cabs. Also ask the staff to orient you. The busy street the hotel entrance is in circles the City Center. You will need to take cross streets to the center. The restaurant is beautiful but the food was expensive and not memorable. The buffet breakfast was quite nice, but limited option for vegetarians.

Excellent hotel for the price we paid.

We stayed there for one week and had a faultless experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, excellently trained staff and very friendly. The New York Café is a truly beautiful place and not expensive either. The hotel sits on the open top bus route and is ideal for getting around Budapest.

Lovely big room in a stunning building. The staff were extremely helpful especially when booking a river boat tour. We enjoyed the calm ambience and the pianist at the New York Cafe. Swimming pool was very warm if rather small.

Luxurious Hotel

Posted Aug 23, 2017
Pros: Beautiful hotel with a relaxing spa and extremely comfortable beds.
Cons: The curtains were hard to open and close.
Location: Convenient for the metro. Busy but fewer tourists. Loved the nearby Stika for breakfast.
I stayed for a week in this hotel with my two teenage children. The deluxe room was large and comfortable. We had a very comfortable stay. We visited the spa a few times and appreciated the ice machine.
