We enjoyed the hotel with reservations,Your description of the hotel was with three restaurants it turned out to be one only, a beach club.We were looking forward to getting a choice to match your 5* description.We accually paid more money for excess baggage as my wife likes to take dresses for different evenings,maybe for a dance to live music which there was none and is still being advertised on the billboard.I am dissapointed that you have wrongly described a holiday we were so much looking forward to.

Hotel was in a good location and room good size with a lovely sea view. However the air conditioning was not available which meant room was too hot. The breakfast was good but the standard of food in the restaurant serving evening meals was poor and could not recommend for vegetarians / vegans. Not a 5* hotel.

Unfortunately, we notice that your stay did not go as anticipated and it appears that we did not manage to meet your expectations in many regards. At first, we would like to seize the opportunity to apologise for any inconveniences you may have experienced. Lovely grand hotel with excellent restaurants, amazing public areas and a lovely setting. The f&b was fantastic throughout, especially Spiler by the beach. The rooms could do with a refresh with the bathrooms clearly showing their 20 year age but the overall vibe of the resort is superb with lovely staff and a very relaxed atmosphere throughout.

Likes - nice hotel with good restaurants. Nice pools but a lack of sun beds by the children's pool. Friendly staff at all times. Dislikes - quite remote and no facilities nearby with a terrible beach in front of the hotel which is not a selling feature at all. Air conditioning in the rooms wasn’t great and no air conditioning in the lobbies / corridors which made the hotel feel hot.

We liked beautiful hotel offering quite a few swimming pools. Relaxing enviroment. Unfortunately we got one room which has a view to the opposite wall4, no nature, no sea. Quite dark. The other room was better.. We appreciate that pool bar was opened again serving food and drinks at lunch times. We missed dinner at the Baltazar restaurant because there was no news from the recepetion desk on 7/8/2022.

Very Disappointing
If you don't have any issues with your room you should have a nice time at this hotel. I stayed at the Kempinski Hotel Bahia for 4 nights. I notified reception after my first night that the air conditioning wasn't working in my room and that a reading light above the bed activated multiple times during the night by itself. The heat and the light were disturbing. I also notified the hotel manager and other hotel employees of the problems. The hotel never offered to change my room. Took two days for the a/c to be repaired and finally on the fourth night the light was disconnected. After repairing the a/c, no one followed up to ensure that the room was cleaned from fallen ceiling debris, dirt, and plaster. There was no follow up at the hotel to confirm that the issues were addressed until the last evening. Very disappointing. This is an expensive hotel and the Kempinski should have reduced the amount I paid given these conditions In my opinion, go to a different 5 star hotel which values their guests.

Not a 5 star experience but a 5 star price
Room layout was nice, but wasn’t cleaned properly. Crumbs under sofa cushions, bathroom wasn’t clean on first day, tired looking furniture, seals around the sink areas were detached, half eaten chocolate bar in the wardrobe. Mini bar wasn’t stocked (or restocked) until we complained. Then wasn’t fully stocked. Shower head hose broken, wasn’t fixed during our stay, despite complaining on first day and midway through our stay. Air conditioning didn’t work as wasn’t “switched over from heating”. No one told us this until we complained. Room was Hot/stuffy at night. Hardly any waiter service around the pool/lounge area during the day so you had to walk to the bar in the beach restaurant, then took ages for any drinks to arrive. The benefits included with the room weren’t offered or honoured unless we complained and pointed them out. To the extent that our bill had to be revised on several occasions because charges were included that should not have been. Staff were all very friendly, especially to the children, but often we had to order things twice as it did not arrive the first time - mostly drinks. Beach restaurant was the best, with a good selection. The Balthazar restaurant was v average Beach was out of action the entire stay due a storm a week before we arrived. Although would have expected this to have been tidied/fixed by the end of our stay (most 5 star hotels would have done this). Breakfast was great - good selection and helpful staff.

Excellent service, but go with eyes open
Great option for a good value half term family break. Service everywhere was excellent. All the restaurants and lobby have been beautifully refurb’d and dinners were excellent, if pricey compared to eating out locally. Breakfast was also run very well. Estepona is 5 minutes away by car and has masses more options and a very pretty outlook. However, the rest of the hotel is well overdue a refurb. Rooms are 15 years old at this point, and the pool area is also looking tired (although the lawns are lovely). In addition, the beach here is not exactly idyllic, and the hotel backs onto the very busy coast road. But hey, if all of these were fixed it would be 2x the cost per night. Will definitely return.

Great location, on the beach and close to ESTEPONA. terrific breakfast buffet. Good room with a large comfortable bed. No alcoholic beverages in the minibar. Main restaurant fully booked on our second night.

Good but overall lacking
Hotel grounds were lovely but the hotel needs an upgrade. It is a 3-4 star masquerading as a 5 star. Service was average some staff were rude (particularly room service). Lacked in 5 star touches you would expect for the high price point. Disappointing considering this is a global luxury chain. Restaurant was good but only one was open (which is misleading as we booked the half board under the belief there was a much wider choice) Overall was fine but not good enough for the money it cost. Disappointing because we were really excited about staying here.

Many parts of the hotel (incl restaurants and bars) were closed of during the week we were there, due to parties. This meant we had to have drinks in the evening in our (small) room and had to celebrate new years eve in our room. Unbelievable that this was not commutated at booking. Very very poor

As good as ever , very clean , comfortable rooms , with amazing views. Helpful friendly staff.very nice with wide varieties Breakfast buffet . But , But been charged for parking my car which wasn’t mentioned when booking . And didn’t replace room amenities
