Not worth the price. The first room they put us in, was stuck on 80 degrees and couldn’t/wouldn’t come down because it only had a heater, no air conditioning. The tv didn’t work, lights that would randomly turn on and off and the phone in there didn’t have a cord. I had to go down and discuss the problems. The resolution they offered was for me to pay 20 more dollars to be in a room that was not a sauna. I obviously said no to the outrageous idea and eventually was “upgraded” free of charge to the room across the hall. I won’t stay here again. Too expensive for nothing.

Overpriced, Nice Location

Posted Jan 24, 2018
Went during the off-season and it was quiet and pleasant on the lake. However, location did not justify the mid-week, high price for an overheated, garden-level, dated room. Reasonably clean, but toilet seat did not fit and sink was cracked and detached from vanity top. It seems a better located room could have been assigned since the hotel was virtually empty. Breakfast was tasty, but, again, overpriced.

Glad to hear you found the property quiet and pleasant. I am unsure when precisely you stayed but if an upgrade was available you should have been offered one. I will review your comments with staff. I hope you were able to take home some fond memories of your visit to the Estes Park area.

Cozy hotel on the lake

Posted Jan 14, 2018
I stayed 2 nights in this hotel and it was amazing. I’m already planning my next vacation to come back here in the summer. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly, room service was great, and the room was clean and spacious. The hotel was right on the lake but also close enough to town so you don’t have to drive far to look at the shops or go get food. Overall I highly recommend it.

Estes Park Resort

Pros: The views
Cons: Coffee/Tea available in the lobby at all times.
Location: Stanley Hotel, Rocky Mountain State Park, shopping.
Would have liked to have a room with a room and not in the "basement" . The literature states they have coffee available starting at 6am, but by 2pm they had no coffee and said they do not provide it all day. They should state that in the literature for us coffee drinkers. Coffee / tea should be available at all times. Other than that, the resort has amazing views and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hello Donna, I am sorry you were disappointed in our coffee service. At approximately 11am we change to flavored water in the lobby. We have found that at our elevation people can become dehydrated easily and then feel the negative effects of elevation sickness. I trust you were able to take home some fond memories of your visit to the Estes Park area.

Wonderful Resort

We had an overall amazing time during our trip! I thought we had booked a Lake view for our room but unfortunately we were put on the ridge view side. We asked the front desk if there was any possibility to get a Lake View room and they accommodated us with no hassle! I would definitely stay there again!

Lake view

Posted Nov 13, 2017
Upon arrival went into reserved room king size bed with couch fold out bed . Linens had not been changed , blanket had crusty sauce on it . Although it was bed made and room appeared clean. Refrigerator had old food inside . Complained to hotel . They moved us and said we were getting an upgrade to a suite. The suite ended up being a handicap room. No bath only shower . When talking a shower the removable shower head provided zero water pressure and when moved screw fell out of the holder and the shower head hit my wife in the head . The upgrade was suppose to be a queen size bed it was a full size. Most uncomfortable bed ever . You can feel the springs in your back. Woke up with a sore back. The view was beautiful . However when you go out to the balcony could lean up on rail it was broken. Swimming pool was dirty and handicap sweet was broken . the handles to get out of the pool was broken . The sauna was broken . The jacuzzis was not as hot as jacuzzi ‘s should be . This hotel is like a staged home . Nothing is as it seemed . Very disappointed . Would never recommend it nor would I stay that again . Not worth over four hundred dollars for 2 nights

Beautiful resort on lake estes

Posted Nov 12, 2017
This hotel was everything that was needed after a long day of hiking in the mountains. There were enough amenities, (spa, sauna, hot tub) to relax after a long day. When you wake up in the morning you’re reminded of how beautiful Estes Park is when you step outside and see the mountains in the distance behind Lake Estes
