Clean, modest, low-cost, no frills

Pros: The owner and staff were courteous and sociable. The property has been carefully updated and decorated without undue luxury, with real craftsmanship.
Location: It's downtown, handy to the freeways, convenience store, coffee, fast foods within a block, downtown Eugene.
We got this last-minute reservation on a busy weekend at a good price. It was clean and comfortable.

Basic Motel in Eugene

Pros: Location, price, friendly attentive staff, on site parking
Cons: need coffee makers in room!
Location: Close to downtown and a couple of miles from U of O campus.
Parkway Inn is a no frills basic motel that is located close to downtown. Room was clean and the staff were friendly. Did have an issue with a slow drain in the shower and they fixed it same day.

Easy to find, comfortable, mildly dated

Pros: Clean, comfortable, good staff, right off the freeway in downtown
Cons: Slightly dated in some ways, but not particularly concerning
Location: I'm ignorant of the location, but it was right off 99 south in downtown. A theatre was 4 minutes away. Breakfast was 2 minutes away. Event spaces 4
It was clean, it was comfortable, the staff was excellent. Looking in the bathroom, for example, showed some aspects that were a little on the dated side. But I found the price entirely acceptable. My favorite part was that they gave me a polite call when I slept through checkout, and gave me some extra time to get out of the way rather than trying to charge me a late checkout fee.

ghetto flea bag

The motel is dated and in a less than desirable area of Eugene. The room smelled terrible. It smelled as if a heavy room freshner spray was used to cover up a bad odor possible cigarette or marijuana smoke. It was strong enough to give one a headache. It was a non-smoking room. The toilet ran constantly and to the manager's credit, it was repaired after I informed them. Would not stay there again unless I was absolutely forced to. Very disappointed especially how the reviews seemed to read favorably. Not sure I would consider booking through Hotels.com again.

They were almost three hours late on our check in, causing us to be late to our even. They also didn't seem to care much and told us that they would "get around to it."

Overall, a good place to spend the night.

For the price I expected coffee in the room or in the lobby. There was neither. But there was a 7Eleven next door. The room was really clean and comfortable. I forgot my phone charger and they charged my phone for me in the office. That was very helpful. Also, we had two cars and parking was limited. They were very accommodating about that.

Stay Away - Especially with kids

They charge top dollar for a small motel under the freeway. If you love paying $$$ to stay across from the homeless park, this is your place. Otherwise stay away especially if you have kids.
