We had a wonderful one night stay at Mercure Chartres. Our check-in with Alexandre was so nice as he told us all about the area, recommended a restaurant and in general was so welcoming. The room and bath were clean and comfortable. The hotel was located close to parking and close to walking to the Cathedral, shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hotel in very central area close to restaurants and shopping. Actual room was dated and shower configuration was odd. Shower made it impossible not to have water spilling on floor / poor design. Door for shower and sink had holes in it and toilet was in separate space. Kind of 80s feel. Bed comfy and breakfast was really good with lots of options. Sort of a mixed review because renovation needed to bring rooms in line with hotel lobby and lounge.

Walkable and beautiful
Hotel is beautiful and spacious. Newly renovated room and everything fresh and stylish. We had a view of the cathedral out our roof window. Staff was helpful and the breakfast was first rate.

We got the cheapest room and it was small, next time we will upgrade to a larger room. Loved having a fridge and staff was friendly and helpful.

This was a great place to stay for families! I stayed with two small kids and there was alot of space in the room even with the fold out couch open. Two desks and chairs were great for little ones to have a snack. We arrived early and they stored all our luggage. Easy walk to the cathedral and many cute streets with shops and cafes. Friendly staff. Only con was the AC is a little noisy.

One of the better Mercure Hotels - Recommended
Excellent location in main square. One of the better Mercure's I have stayed at. Good room. I parked for 2 days free in the street as it was a Sunday and then a public holiday, but parking is available at extra cost. Would recommend.

Good location with really friendly and helpful staff, unfortunately the aircon in our room wasn't very good, the room was hot and the window was fix closed, other than that all good,we use this hotel again

This was a nice city hotel located within walking distance of the cathedral. If you stay here, know that you can stop in front of the hotel long enough to unload your luggage, and then drive to the parking, which is a bit of a distance away. The staff was friendly, the rooms were excellent, and the breakfast was good.

Great location! I could see the lovely cathedral from our window and watch the night illuminations from there. The hotel was well run and we were greeted cordially. The bed was very comfortable and the shower very good.

Very convenient to the cathedral and town. Underground parking very close as are restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms spacious with good bathrooms. Mercure is generally a reliable chain of hotels we found.

A great hotel, just a 5 minute walk from the Cathedral. The service was impeccable, and the breakfast was worth the money (the scrambled eggs were exactly how I like them, and none of this prepackaged garbage we get at so many hotels). My ONLY complaint was the lack of a wash cloth in the bathroom, which seems to be an issue all over Europe now. Parking is easy: there is a large underground public lot, easily accessible from the hotel, with reasonable prices. If you’re in Chartres, I would definitely look into this hotel!

Outstanding Experience
Outstanding! The room was which was at the back of the hotel was modern, spotless, comfortable and quiet. The staff through the hotel was incredibly kind, pleasant and helpful. The location was fantastic, centrall with a short walk to the cathedral and shopping.

Excellent hotel close to Chartres Cathedral. There were a couple of e-bikes in the lobby to use for free! We hopped on them one day and cycled around Chartres much to our delight. This was a bonus to an already great experience.

The hotel staff were rude and treated us terribly. When my fiancé grabbed an apple from the lobby, a staff member chased after her to make sure she was a guest. I was really embarrassed for the hotel. There is no parking, nor a place to even park your car temporarily to unload your bags.
