I love staying at this hotel and love how affordable it is as well as how safe it is. My only complaint on this stay was that the bathroom door was sticky and very hard to open, which is more of an issue for someone who lives in chronic pain like I do. Other rooms I have stayed in did not have this issue

Pubic hairs in bathroom. Thin walls. Other guests smoking weed in their rooms and in parking lot. Friendly staff. Clean and welcoming lobby. Decent hot breakfast. Coded gate for entry into parking.

Super sketchy location. Dirty neighborhood, secured parking because your vehicle will most likely be broken into. Scratched up furniture in the rooms and in public areas. One of the worst continental breakfasts ever. I expected more from a clarion property

My stay here wasn’t planned, but I couldn’t have asked for a better impromptu stay and experience! Their beds were very comfy, the breakfast was very filling, and the front desk woman whom I can’t remember her name was great! And so was the gentleman in the morning! Rooms were spacious and enjoyable for me and my small dog.

Property needs updated. No coffee for early risers. Same minimal breakfast each morning with only oranges for fruit. Front door locked from 11:00pm to 9:30am. No where to sit outside in the early morning and enjoy the fresh air. Many outside lights not working or gone. Some rain gutters have grass growing in them. Most staff good but one guy was not very accommodating. Overall would not recommend this property.

Great hotel; glad they have some form of security with a fence adding to a safe feeling from the sketchy surroundings. Breakfast was pretty good, standard but good, and the staff were excellent. Definitely recommend for a short stay. Easily accessible.

The staff was pleasant but the room was old. A lady that had a room there asked me for a ride to Grocery Outlet. She was nice but her truck was packed with garbage even in the driver seat. She had as much right to be there as me but it made me uncomfortable that she asked me for a ride. Also at the gas station a homeless guy approached me for money. There seems to be a lot of mentally ill people. It really is sad. The final straw was the McDonald’s charged me for ranch dressing. If I asked for a bunch I could understand but I just bought dinner for two and a sundae. Eureka is not a place I have any interest in going back to.

I had a dental treatment in the late morning, I had called Omar at the front desk the day before and requested info on early check in if needed, Omar cleared me for a 1pm check in, it was very much appreciated as I was very numb and not feeling good, Big Thanks to Omar!

I recently stayed at Clarion Hotel By Humboldt Bay and had a somewhat mixed experience. While the hotel had its merits, there were a few significant drawbacks that impacted my overall stay. Firstly, the room I was assigned had a leaky air conditioning unit that proved to be a considerable inconvenience. The constant dripping not only created a puddle on the carpet but also made the room feel uncomfortably damp and smelly. Another downside was the hotel's close proximity to Highway 101. The incessant noise from passing vehicles made it challenging to get a good night's sleep. If you're a light sleeper, I would strongly recommend requesting a room on the quieter side of the building or bringing earplugs. On a more positive note, the hotel's continental breakfast was surprisingly better than most. The selection of items offered was more varied, and the quality of the food was decent. It provided a decent start to the day and helped compensate for some of the other inconveniences. In conclusion, my stay at Clarion Hotel By Humboldt Bay was marked by a few ups and downs. The leaky A/C unit and the highway noise were significant issues that affected the quality of my stay. However, the improved continental breakfast was a redeeming factor. If you decide to stay at this hotel, be sure to consider these factors and weigh your priorities accordingly.

The rooms are okay: staff friendly. I was a little concerned about the hotel being gated. But I understand there are lotta homeless in the area and so the gate is a necessity. I would like to communicate to the hotel that they need some type of disinfectant around the fourth street front of the hotel, because it smells terrible. This would encourage walking if they disinfected it for smell.

We enjoyed our one night stay at the Clarion Hotel. The parking was very secure with a password provided gate. Our two queen size beds were extremely clean and comfortable. Quiet, secure, and a nice breakfast was available.
