3/5 Okay

Cute short term stay with water woes
It’s certainly a convenient location for visiting the Redwood State Parks and local sights. The house is cozy and cute. Unfortunately the water supply is lousy; only one of us (out of three) had hot water for a shower every morning and if the downstairs studio tenants were using their shower or doing laundry we had no water at all. Not quite the level of comfort we were expecting for the price.

5/5 Excellent

Redwood perfection
This house is very nicely located in an elk zone right on 101. There was very little road noise. The elk were on the property in the morning, and there was evidence that bear had been there as well. We enjoyed the ripe blackberries, and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies for cooking and baking. The water tasted fine, but as others had mentioned, the water pressure was low, and there was no water if the people on the first floor were showering. Overall, this was a minor inconvenience and we would come back again and would highly recommend this property to hikers and nature enthusiasts for its excellent location.

Location can't be beat
The Redwood state and national parks are literally out the back door. As I was packing the car to leave (too soon), I heard funny squealing noises. I looked over my shoulder to see a herd of elk passing through the property. There were 30 or 40 cows and calves. We hiked the trails recommended by the property owner. It was our first time in the redwoods, and I do not have the words to express the experience. The unit was nicely furnished and the kitchen had everything you would need. Our 20-year-old daughter loved the loft with a doll-size balcony. Two lofts are accessed by steep ladders. That kept the parents out of her hair. Next time, we'll stay longer. There is much to do in the area and this placed is perfectly situated.

Great spot for the Redwoods
This house was perfect for our family of 4 to explore the Redwoods. The beds were reasonably comfortable, there were just enough dishes for us, and all the appliances worked. The water smelled metalic, reminding us that we were very much in a rural setting. Also my cellphone had no signal(not surprising because we were in a valley), but the wifi worked for all our needs. The one surprise was that there was another couple staying beneath us, and we could hear their TV at night, no too loud, just noticable. I didn't realize this place had two rentals in one. All in all, we would stay here again!
