We are sorry you were not able to speak with anyone at the front desk. The shower in your room WAS in fact functional, but because you did not communicate any difficulties with the front desk until you were departing the property, we were unable to offer you a different room or demonstrate how the shower handle works in that room. Front desk staff was on an allowed break when you left the note and departed, and we regret that we weren't able to better assist you. We do have water, and front desk staff with 24 hour assistance.

We are sorry you had a less-than-great stay at our property. It is part of the Arcata vibe that people sometimes dress differently here, and we do regret that you may have felt uncomfortable with what you observed. We are located next door to the mcdonalds drive through, but could have assigned you a different room had a request to change rooms been made.
