Nice Hotel in Downtown Eureka

Posted Feb 6, 2017
Pros: We liked the location.
The hotel was built at the turn of the century and has that look and feel about it. It's located in the heart of downtown Eureka and is within walking distance to shopping and dining. Our room had been updated and was clean and appealing. Parking is an issue but they have an off site parking lot that guests can use and a shuttle to bring guests to the hotel. We chose to find parking on the street and pay the parking meter. The hotel provided a good breakfast buffet with an adequate selection including an omelet station. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again at our next visit.

Great Room for the Rate.

Posted Feb 4, 2017
We had a great time, enjoyed our stay. However, we were given one of the nicest suites upon arrival, it wasn't ready when we arrived. When we went back to check in we were given a completely different room. We had to insist on being given the original room. That was unpleasant.

Great Access to Eureka!

Posted Jan 6, 2017
Pros: Location.
Cons: The room was absolutely enormous but the bathroom was exceptionally small and you had to squeeze past the sink to get to the toilet.
I enjoyed the bar, the speakeasy and the room a lot. We were right across from the elevator, staircase and housekeeping office so the room was a bit loud but the building is old and poorly insulated, so it's understandable. The room was well-appointed, apart from the awkward bathroom.

We're sorry about the small bathroom. Sometimes we just have to do the best we can with the space allotted to us. Thank you for staying with us.

Great hotel in shopping area

Overall was a great place. Shuttle to where ever you want to go. Keep in mind it was built in 1905 but it's an awesome place to stay and eat.

Great location for downtown shopping.

Posted Nov 28, 2016
Pros: Location, hotel bar and restaurant open Thanksgiving night, historic building is a lot of fun! Shuttle to car quick and easy.
Cons: Remodeled bathroom TOO cold (all tile, floor to ceiling) and shower door leaked badly onto floor, so sink area had to be sopped up with towels.
Location: Perfect for access to all things Eureka Springs.
Nice Thanksgiving get away. Right in the heart of downtown Eureka, great old building with modern amenities.

Overpriced with poor conditions.

Posted Nov 27, 2016
We have stayed at the Basin before (2nd floor) and it was a great experience. Lovely, unique room next to the spa. So disappointed this time! We stayed on the fifth floor. The room had a box Tv, bathroom sink was in the bedroom, and the tub/toilet room was gross (mold/cracked tile). The room was also right below the bar serving area and it was so loud. We have stayed at nicer hotels in Manhatten for less money than this. I don't understand why the condition of the room was that way, if they are charging $240 a night stay. I understand it's an older hotel and I appreciate the location (right in the middle of downtown) but this room was surprisingly bad. Really affected our stay. Bum deal. Next time we visit Eureka we will be staying somewhere else.

Our apologies once again. I remember sending you an email accompanied with a discount on your recent stay. I never received a response from my email, neither good nor bad, from you. Instead you resorted to bashing us on various social media platforms. You're welcome for the discount by the way. Have a great day.

Nice hotel

Posted Nov 14, 2016
Location: Location was great being right there, you could walk either way for shopping and for dinner.
Room was very small for it being a King suite, Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast was great, helped make up for the price of the room. Parking just to check in was hard to find a place, even being 8:30 at night. Overall it was a nice place to stay, just a little pricey, I guess that's the price you pay to be in the middle of everything. which that was nice.
