Just an okay room

When I checked in, there was a sign sitting on counter stating that the water would be completely turned off the next 2 days from 8-5. When I asked the clerk about it, he said that yes there would be no water after 8 am. When I asked if he was planning on telling me this, he simply pointed to the sign.i said it would have been nice to have know this prior to making my reservation, he said they found out yesterday, which was when I made the reservation. The young clerk didn't offer any apology and basically said it wasn't his fault. This is unacceptable, but since it was getting late, l had no other choice but to stay. The typical young attitude of "it's not my problem, I don't make the rules, I didn't personally do this" is really getting old with me. The beds were very lumpy and low and so soft, you sunk to the ground. I was sore the next day. I wouldn't come back here unless it was an emergency.

I am very sorry our current maintenance issue was not what you had anticipated. I completely understand how you feel and the inconvenience this may have caused you and your family during your stay. Please note we strive to maintain the highest standards, not only in service, but also with regards to maintaining the overall look and feel of the hotel. Unfortunately, this sometimes requires unexpected emergency maintenance issues in our guest rooms and public areas beyond our control. As you noticed, we were currently replacing our water valve system to provide better service and meet the current needs of our valued guests, like you. We notified guests of this unexpected issue on Tuesday afternoon upon arrival. The project officially started on Wednesday morning, April 13th at 8am and completed before 5pm. The remainder was expected to be completed on Thursday, March 14th, from 8am to 5pm. The water was turned back on before 5 pm as communicated and promised. However, soon afterwards we experienced a small issue with a water line. At that time we made the difficult decision to complete the emergency repairs on Friday, instead of Thursday night delaying guest needs further. This was the best option we felt for our guests at the time as we had previously communicated and promised water would be available starting at 5pm. We immediately notified our new guests at arrival last night, by signage at the desk, letters to stay over guests and staff member notifications as soon as we learned of this extended issue. Once again I do personally apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. In the future I hope you will consider Fairfield Inn Evansville West on your next visit to Evansville so that we can better deliver upon the guest experience you deserve. Nice hotel close to university

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good but I prefer stronger coffee. The front desk suggested a great place to get some.

Nice clean and close to USI

Would stay again but will ask for room away from highway. Road noise was a little loud. Beds were super comfy and room was spacious.

stay for swim meet

Pros: staff excellent, rooms clean and up dated, breakfast, good location and convenient to food, gas, and department stores

The hotel staff was excellent and went above and beyond (Cheryl at front desk). Our toilet would not flush and they were unable to fix it for a few hours. They gave us another room, no questions asked across the hall. She also wanted to know if there was anything else that they could provide us and gave us a percentage off the second night for our inconvience. Free breakfast was also good. I would definitely stay here agian. If every staff member is as nice, accomidating, and gracious as Cherly Fairfield Inn has a hand up on thier competition.

Nice updated hotel with nice staff

The hotel seemed well maintained and updated. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was excellent also.

Great Hotel

The staff was excellent and very friendly, the amenities were excellent, the breakfast was good, the hotel was modern, the rooms were very clean. I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough to anyone looking for a good deal on a great hotel in the area.
