The resort was convenient to the downtown area. The room was comfy and clean. However the property is in dire need of renovation and remodeling. The adjacent restaurant, Red Geranium, was superb.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is located nearby many easy hiking trails. The front office rents golf cart for us to drive around. The attached restaurant has the best home made potato chips.

Disappointing
Hotel was average at best. Room was sparse and mattress was the most uncomfortable. I have slept on in quite some time. Will stay somewhere else next time I am in the area.

We always enjoy staying at New Harmony Inn when we come to the Mt. Vernon area. We were attending my husbands 66th high school reunion and we had a great time. Our daughter and granddaughter also explored the New Harmony downtown area again and even though it was raining, they had fun also!

My only issue is that the facility is not so convenient for handicapped persons. It is certainly manageable, but not great

The property was a beautiful place. Was able to check in way earlier than expected. Walking distance to the beautiful attractions. Quite. Only wished it had more food options for breakfast. Golf cart rentals for seeing the town. Would definitely come back and stay again.

An excellent value for the location. It is on par with a nice Hampton Inn or Fairfield Inn with a lot of amenities. A beautiful setting and great place to visit.

Charming spot to stay!
An interesting and unusual property in a very eclectic, charming little town. We stopped on the way home as we were traveling and were not disappointed. Room was exceptionally clean and quiet. Pool was enormous, and we enjoyed it. The grounds were very calming for a nice evening walk as was the town. We ate a block or two away and had a very good meal. Golf carts are available, too, for running around town and checking out the river. Our only disappointment was that there was not breakfast bar or snacks and the single coffee pot was almost empty when we arrived. Clerk informed us that she was not making any more since time was almost up! Great place to stop if you are looking for something off the beaten path that is a little different!

New Harmony Inn is very quiet, comfortable and clean. The temperature was good in the room and it is very quiet. It is a beautiful setting and a great place to walk. Restaurants are a 5 minute walk and there are many public gardens and historic sites to walk to. We had a great stay. Staff was very helpful as well. I screwed up my booking and they were very helpful fixing it. I highly recommend this place.

Was charged extra for the room I paid for online. When I checked in was told because I booked via hotels.com I could not get the room I paid for it would be an extra $25. The said they only use certain rooms for on line booking. I showed the confirmation showing the room a was told to take it up with hotels.com very rude about it.

I loved the natural feel of the surroundings. I only wished the porches and steps at entries were better kept. Peeling paint and dirt tracked into lobby/ hallway. Stayed in Riverbend.

Totally different feel from the anonymity of cardboard cutout hotel chains. One is totally immersed in a beautiful historic town. But the jacuzzi and swimming pool are not an enhancement

Conference center in a small town.
Over night stop in a lovely little town with small Victorian cottages. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Most of the guests were there for weddings. Very peaceful surroundings. Delightful change from the usual off highway chain hotels but modern and not a bed and breakfast.

A visit to New Harmony, IN, is always a pleasure. The town is relaxing and the New Harmony Inn is a great place to stay. Parking is convenient and you never have to get back into your car to enjoy the town. Walking is great there. The room was clean and everything was in working order.
